Which of the arguments presented is the most sound and valid? Support your answers.
The strongest and most convincing argument, in my opinion, is the advantages one. Although
the moral wrongness of discriminating against the disabled and the sanctity of life are both
valid points, the benefit argument is more persuasive. Baby Jane's condition is very critical and
should not be ignored. She has a human right to treatment and surgery, but we also need to
take into account all the circumstances surrounding her case. What's the purpose if you're
going to risk her life, the doctor argued, even if she receives therapy, not much will change, and
she won't truly gain from it.
From your personal viewpoint, how would you decide on the side of Baby Jane Doe?
I think the wisest and safest course of action is to decide against having surgery. Because
surgery is not a simple procedure, the patient's life is more in danger. The worst case for her
condition is that she succumbs to the pain and side effects of the medication. I think it will be
much safer if she just keeps acting the same way since the operation won't help her anyhow.
Whose arguments will you consider in the issue?
My answers to the first two questions, I believe, make it apparent that I will take the benefit
argument into account. I'd rather keep her life safe and allow her to live until the day she can
rather than risk it with a treatment that won't heal her illness and let her have a normal life.
Let us construct the following arguments for the given dilemma:

1. The Benefit Argument

If no one would profit from it, they shouldn't offer the drug to the patients in vials
despite the fact that doing so is not recommended.
The benefit to Lucky's brother comes from the fact that he gained money from the
deed. However, because of the medicine's addictive properties and the fact that Lucky's
brother is providing the drug to the patient in exchange for payment, there is a greater
chance that many patients may become addicted.

2.The Argument on Professional Code of Conduct

A nurse's duty is to support and assist patients who are in need. They are required by
their code of conduct to scrupulously abide by the hospital's rules and regulations. As a

result, Nurse Lucky made a mistake by keeping the vials' discovery under the sink a
secret. The other nurses who took part in the conduct should also face consequences,
including possible license revocation. They might not be held liable as long as their
actions don't affect the patients' health, but what if they do? Therefore, stopping it until
no one is harmed is the best course of action.
3.The Wrongness on the Act of Cheating
Cheating is never appropriate, no matter what the situation. No matter how noble your
intentions may be, irresponsible behavior is never acceptable.
