Movie: Lion King

Biome: Tropical rainforests

Location: It is mostly found in areas within the tropical zone.

Energy: the leaves of canopy plants capture the sunlight, and then it uses that as energy for the
whole forest.
Temperature: it's about 70 to 85°F.
Water: The tropical rainforests’ water supply is not that low. The tropical rainforests have the
biggest rivers there.
Soil: They fall into two different categories: ultisols and oxisols.
Aquatic biomes: They are one of the most wet forests (that’s where rain in its name comes
from).
Terrestrial biomes: It can always get very humid around there.
Trees: They can be pretty tall, and fast growing. They produce long fruits. It mostly uses the sun
to survive, and get plenty of water.

Food chains and food webs:

Competition: When organisms, populations or species depend on gaining a share of a limited

environmental resource.
Say there is a berry that a group of animals eat. Let’s say that supply becomes less than it used
to be. Those animals need to fight with others to get the berries.
The relationship fits because it shows how they are fighting for a competition.

Predation: When one organism kills and consumes another.

Mosly, it’s just hunting. Basic hunting.
It’s related because one organism kills anuther.

herbivory: The condition of feeding on plants.

Like the last one, but they eat plants instead.
It’s related because one organism is eating a plant.

A Keystone species is a certain species that other organisms depend on, and if removed, won’t
be very good.
Agoutis are a Keystone species of the Tropical Rainforests because Brazil Nut Trees depend on
agoutis for their strong and sharp teeth to open their hard seed pods and the dispersal of their
seeds.
If the Agoutis didn’t exist, then nobody could break and get rid of the Brazil Nut Trees’ nuts.
The meaning of Invasive species is the plants or animals that are non-native to an Ecosystem.
A Wild Boar can be a Invasive species, and a European Rabbit too.
The Wild Boar got introduced to some of the countries. And the European Rabbit somehow got
to every continent except Antarctica and Asia.
The Wild Boar has been threatening to some animals there, and has been spreading diseases.
The European Rabbit isn’t always that much of a big deal if there aren't a lot around, but it’s not
good when there is a lot in one place.
