AFFIDAVIT OF DESISTANCE

I, EVA E. ESPINOSA, of legal age, married, Filipino and a resident of Hamot

Homes, North Fundidor, Molo, Iloilo City, Iloilo, after having been duly sworn in
accordance with law, hereby depose and state:

1. That I am the Private Complainant in NPS DOCKET No. VI-19-INV-19E-00201

entitled “EVA E. ESPINOSA v. JOENAR PUENAFLORIDA For Violation of
Anti-VAWC Act of 2004, under Physical and Psychological Abuses”;

2. That I can no longer attend the proceedings and pursue my claim in NPS
DOCKET No. VI-19-INV-19E-00201 because I am leaving the country to pursue
my post-graduate studies at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts,
United States of America for two years and my return to the Philippines is
uncertain;

3. Travel will be very costly and inconvenient for me and that it would be
impossible for me to participate fully in the hearing of the said case;

4. That in view thereof, I am desisting, renouncing, and waiving all my rights and
claims against my husband, JOENAR PUENAFLORIDA, accused in the above-
said case;

5. That I am no longer interested in pursuing the case against my husband,

JOENAR PUENAFLORIDA; a nd

6. I execute this affidavit voluntarily, with full knowledge of the legal

consequences thereof and to attest to the truth of the foregoing facts.
