4. TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION

Press (no release your finger), then, press , the display will show the
program no. xxxxxx.
M O DE T
Press (no release your finger), then, press , the display will show the
→0←
last memorized calibrated temperature values. At this moment, press
twice to delete this temperature data(make sure you already canceled this
temp. values, the display shows 0.00). Normally, BH scale has three
temperature values, high temp., low temp. and normal temp. you have to do
the same procedures for 3 times to delete 3 temp. data(be sure that you already
canceled the 3 temp. data, the display does not show any temperature internal
values).
M O DE
Press , the display showing full capacity weight, i.e. 150000(150g scale),
then, put 150g mass on the scale.
M O DE
Press , the scale will return to 0(while the display is counting backward,
remove the mass from the platter).
The temperature setting calibration is finished.

5. SCALE DISPLAYS 0.00 BUT NO WEIGHING ACTION
First, you have to check if the scale has the internal values.
If scale can display the internal value, you just need to reset the temperature
calibration.
Step 1
Open the scale case, and

adjust the LOCK to
ADJ.
Step 2
Recover the scale, and turn on

the scale. The scale will
show 000g.
Step 3
Hold the MODE key till

LCD shows C 10, and
press BL key till LCD
shows program version
then release two keys.

Step 4
When LCD shows program

version 98***, press
MODE key and Tare key
until the LCD shows a
data of temperature, and
then release two keys.
Step 5
Press the ZERO key for 2 times

to delete one temperature
point. And repeat this
step until the LCD shows
0.00.
Step 6
Press the MODE key and the

LCD shows full capacity.
Step 7
According to the LCD display, put the

full weight on platter. (shown on
the illustration, put 1200g weight
on the platter)

Step 8
Wait for 3 seconds, press

MODE key and the scale
begins the countdown
process. After the
countdown process, take
away the weight and
finish the whole
calibration procedure.
6. WHEN SCALE DISPLAY “ E1 ”
l ERROR “ E1 ” : Zero is over its range.

l ERROR “E2” : Zero is below its range.
If scale appear E1 or E2 on the display but the internal value is still between 100000
~ 600000. Please do the following procedures :
(1) Press to turn the power off. And then, press to turn the machine on
again. The display shows E1 or E2

(2) Press (do not release your finger), then, press , the display will show
the program version.

(3) Press then, press , the display shows the internal value.
(Remarks: The internal value must between 100,000 ~ 600,000)
(4) Then, you reset the linearity, specification and temperature setting calibration
steps by steps.

In case the internal value is not at 100,000 ~ 600,000 range, load cell is
damaged, you have to replace a new one.
7. WHEN SCALE DISPLAY “ E5”
l ERROR “E5” : No zero
Please do the following work step by step to check the scale.
(I). Please refer to the electric diagram of A/D board, then, use a voltage-meter
to measure the voltage parts of the A/D board if they are at +5v or –5v normal
condition.
If the voltage is at normal operation.
(II). To use a clipper to clamp the 4th and 5th pins of IC24C04 EEPROM (no
release the clipper from the pins) and press“ ”key to turn on the power.
Before the display is counting backward to 0, please release the clipper not to
touch the 4th and 5th pins of IC24C04, the display will appear the program version
number. Then, press“ M O DE

”and “ U N I TS
”keys(about 3 seconds), the display
shows the internal value. To check the internal value is between 100,000 ∼
600,000.
(III) If the internal value is at its range, then, please refer to the calibration
procedures of E1 or E2 solution to solve the problem(to reset the linearity,
specification and temperature setting calibration).
(IV) If the display is not appearing the internal value, then, turn off the machine
and do the below procedures :
a) The machine is off.
b) To remove the 4th and 5th pins of load cell cable, not connected, then, use a
voltage-meter to measure the voltage of the 4th and 5th pins if they are at 0mv ±
2% (it’d better at 0mv standard).

If the voltage of the 4th and 5th pins are normally that means the load cell is not
faulty, works ok.
C) Then, put a mass on the scale to check the load cell output value.
l Note: To check the load cell output value, you have to check the capacity
of load cell used for this scale, the weight mass you put on scale must be based
on the full capacity of load cell.
For example: BH-3kg scales, we use 3kg-load cell to make it. Then,
you put 3kg weight; the output value of load cell is 10mv.
If you put 1/3 weight (1kg) on the scale, then, the output value of load
cell is at 3mv.
When these conditions are ok.
d) Press “ ”key to turn the machine off.
e) Press “ ”key to turn on the power and reset the linearity, specification and
temperature setting calibration.
The calibration procedures are finished.
Then, turn off the machine and turn the power on again to check if the scale
works in normally operation (no displaying E5).

8. SCALE WITH UNSTABLE READING, CAN NOT
CALIBRATE
Please do the following procedures :
(1). Press key to turn the power off. And then, press key to turn the
machine on again., the display shows 0.00

(2). Hold key and press key, the display will show the program
version no.
M O DE U N I TS
(3). Then, press and keys, the display shows the internal value.
When the reading of the internal value is gradually increasing up. That is the
normal condition.
In case the reading of the internal value is shifting, unstable. The problem may
be in load cell. In this case, please open the housing, then, you change another
good load cell for doing the test.
(4) After changing the load cell, put the platter on the scale. The display would
be showing the internal value. If the internal value reading is stable. That is sure
that the former load cell is faulty, can not be used, you have to change the load
cell for the replacement.
(5) In case that you already change another load cell but the reading of the
internal value on the display is unstable, shifting, you have to check the
PCB(A/D board). There maybe the dirty or something on it. You have to clean
the board and dry the PCB with a dryer.
(6) To use a volt-meter to measure the 1st pin and 2nd pin of CN2 location(on the
A/D board) if their voltage is at +5V? If the load cell power voltage is in

normal stable condition +5V. Then, you continue to check the 9th pin of the
IC7190 at U3 if its voltage is at 2.5V.
If its voltage is under 2.5V, then, you have to change a new IC7190 at U3.
After changing the IC. You test the scale again if the scale can work stable. If it
is stable.
(7) To do the auto calibration again.
press key about 3 seconds, the display will show the “Calibrated weight
value”, please accord with the weight to put the same weight mass on the scale.
When the display is stable, the scale will automatically begin a self-testing
sequence and take the mass away while the display is counting backward from 9
∼ 0.
The procedures are finished.
If you have tried to test the scale as the above methods but the scale reading is
still unstable. In this situation, you have to send back the defective scale to the
factory for malfunction.
9. BH SCALE CAN NOT CALIBRATE
1) The environment where you use the scale is very important. Be sure that you
operate the scale in a good environment, not in a windy, air conditioning
surrounding which may affect the scale unstable.
2) When turn on the machine, make sure that the scale is in stable that is the
stable sign ° indication must appear on the display, you can calibrate the scale(if
the stable sign ° indication in not appear on the display, scale can not calibrate,
that means the scale can not be stable due to the unstable environment).

keys, the display shows “ CAL “ and
enter to the FUNCTION SELECTION.
4) Press P CS
to P.S. 7 The Range of Stability for filter setting. Press
∧
BL
key to select F l 105 setting. Then, press key to confirm. The
scale will return to 0.
5) Place the full capacity of weight on the scale to check if it can shows the
correct weight(if the error display weight is showing more than 50g or
less than 50g of the actual mass weight, that is allowed to continue to
do the weight calibration).
6) To re-calibrate the scale again(Auto calibration)
press key about 3 seconds, the display will show the “Calibrated
weight value”, please accord with the weight to put the same weight mass
on the scale. When the display is stable, the scale will automatically
begin a self-testing sequence and take the mass away while the display is
counting backward from 9 ∼ 0.
Auto calibration is finished.
˙Remarks : In case you have tried to test the scale as the above method
but it still has the problem, can not work. In such condition, you have to
send back the scale to the factory for malfunction.
10. SCALE APPEAR “ - - - - -“
Refer to the solution of E5 problem to solve the problem.
