The definition of soft keypad

PRE-S: Select the pre-stretch percentage, 10%,15%,20%, 25%, off,

cyclically.

: Knot ON or end Knot

MEM: Select a tension setting from the memory, 4 settings Cyclically.
PULL & RELEASE: Start Pulling or Release.
MENU: Enter or exit parameters setting interface.
All the below parameters can be Select/set/modified in the
menu.

UNIT: LBS/KG
SPEED: pulling speed, 1(lower),2(Middle),3 (High)
(Deviations possible due to the material of the string)
SOUND: 1(lower),2(Middle),0(Off)
KNOT: choose extra pounds added when KNOT（+10%)
PRE-STR: Select the pre-stretch percentage,

LIMIT: This is means the hold-time.

What is the LIMIT (hold time): When a string pulled, but forgot
to release it, the program will release the string automatically
according to the set time (1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes).

Enter: Select a parameter for modification or confirm the modified
operation.
+: In idle state (waiting for pulling interface), “+”to add the
tension setting.
Click to plus 0.1LB/0.1KG, press and hold on, plus 1LB/1KG
In the parameter setting interface, “+”to choose the
parameter or modify the value of parameter.

-: Similar to“+” for setting tension or modify the parameter.

OPERATION

1\ INSTALLATION

Mount the device on the platform:

Use 4*M8 screws to fix the tension head on your device.

Connect the power plug to

tension control unit.

3\ SETTING TENSION
When power on and the self-test complete, the device waits for pulling
operation. If the default tension is not you needed, first choose pounds
or kilos. Then two ways to change the tension settings:
(1) \ Just click “+”or “-“ to change the tension, press and hold on for
fast changes.
(2) \ Click “MEM” to recall one of four tensions, to select one which is
nearly to your need. Then repeat the step (1).
If it is frequent used, just click “ENTER” to save the tension data in
the same position. See the bottom row.

4\ CHANGE/SETTING PARAMETERS
See the APPENDIX 1, the block diagram “How to modify the
parameters”

5\ INSERT THE STRING & PULLING

When inserting the string, please ensure that it is first wound 1x around
the spool in front of the string gripper. Then insert the string into the
string gripper and pull it towards your body or tap the string gripper
from right to left to activate pulling. Make sure that the string is clamped
by the string gripper.
By pushing the pulling button on the soft keypad or the fast pulling
switch you also can activate the pull.
When heard double beep, it is reached the set tension and you can
clamp off. The display will show the actual tension as the string stretches.
A code “E07” on the display means the gripper reaches its limit
position but did not tighten the string. Take some slack out of the string
and start again.

6\ KNOT OR NOT
Press to activate or deactivate the knot function. When the pilot
light is on, means the knot function is active. KNOT function means
adding pounds when pulling. The KNOT function is active only for one
time. After one pulling, the KNOT is deactivated automatically.

7\ PRE-STRETCH
Stringers often do this to with gut strings to remove some of the initial
elasticity of the string. Turning pre stretch “On” allows the tension
control unit to pull beyond the set tension and return to the set point.
Click “PRE STRETCH” button to choose the pre-stretch function (Select
the pre-stretch percentage, 10%,15%,20%, 25%, off, cyclically). For
example, stringing at 50 pounds with a 10% pre-stretch the device will
go to 55 pounds and then return to 50, the set tension.

8\ MEMORY (MEM)
Four frequently used tensions can be set and stored. Click “MEM”to
Select a tension, then click “+”or “-“ to change (press and hold on
for fast changes). To save it in memory, press “ENTER”, it is successful
saved when heard a double beep. The setting is now in memory and can
be recalled by pressing the “MEM”.

APPENDIX 9:

ADJUSTING THE GRIPPER

The jaws of the string gripper should always move smoothly. If this is not the
case, please drip machine oil (for precision mechanics) into the ball bearings
of the string gripper.

Clamps:
Please note that the black O-ring is an essential part of the clamps. Please do
not remove this under any circumstances!

Clamp base:
You must first lift the clamp and fix the string. Then the lever of the base clamp
can be closed to fix the base on the bar. To unlock the base, simply open and
drop the clamps.

Locking turntable:
To fix the position of the turntable, please turn the screw on the left under the
basket.
