COMPETITION

Dear Reader,
I am entering the London Music Festival for 2023 which is made for
music video makers and enthusiasts. They value your work and
promote music videos all over the year on their facebook page that
has a rapid amount of new growing followers. They also additionally
give you space on their platform for background information
regarding your music, videos and your regular news. The opening date
was July 1st 2022 and the regular deadline was submitted for January
1st 2023, however I believe I will enter June 1st 2023 as the late
deadline, due to the date I filmed my production. The event takes
place on July 1st 2023, though this festival has some rules that you
must abide by:

➼ Music videos may be any length and from any year.

➼ Participants must submit one or several music videos and
must choose which category they want them to compete in.
➼ All videos will be reviewed, nominated and scored by the jury,
based on these the winners will be selected.
➼ All entrants warrant and undertake that they have obtained all
relevant rights and permission from individuals featured in their
entry.
➼By registering for this festival, the entrant grants the organisers
of the festival the standard non-exclusive rights that would be
granted to a music video broadcaster, as well as the right to
make videos available on the festival’s website, and to make
copies available to broadcasters for promotional purposes.
➼By submitting the music video the participant permits that the
organisers can use the video as well as pictures and names attached to
the music video for advertising and public relations purposes in
connection with marketing the festival.
➼By submitting the material, the applicant hereby agrees to indemnify, hold
harmless, and defend the organisers and their employees from any liability,
claims, and damages in connection with the submission and from any fees and
expenses, including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees, that any of
them may incur in connection therewith.
➼The organisers will not accept responsibility for any technical
computer, network, hardware or software failures of any kind, which may
restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry. Incomplete entries
and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these rules and
terms can be disqualified.

➼Failure to adhere to these rules and terms will result in disqualification

and forfeiture of entry fee.
➼The organisers may also use the details you give to contact you about
their products and services. By entering work in this festival you are
indicating your agreement to this unless you tell the promoter otherwise.
➼The organisers reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and
check their identity.
➼The organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions
at any point.
➼The organisers reserve the right to change submission categories,
awards and prizes at their discretion.
➼The organisers do not guarantee in any way that the submitted video
will be selected for the festival or used for promotional purposes. This
decision is at the discretion of the organisers.
➼There are no refunds.
The main category for this festival is music videos which leads to a fair
competition for everybody participating in the same genre of film.

There are awards and prizes such as:

➼Your music video is seen by a diverse festival jury providing feedback.

➼All nominees will receive London Music Video Festival certificates.

➼Each winner in a category will receive the London Music Video Festival
trophy.

➼Tickets for the London event are included in the submission fee.

➼The festival itself is widely promoted, and it is the only festival in the world
focusing on music videos regardless of their budget. Even being accepted or
nominated brings a lot of reputation.

FINAL IDEA
Dear Reader,

I plan to present a production about the effects of insecurity, based within

a music video. Which takes the story of a girl who feels insecure within her
group of friends and decides to shut herself out from the world. This
slowly leads on to her looking at herself in the mirror, feeling incomplete
and unworthy of herself, like she is some outcast.

From these effects leads on to worse mental health, such as panic attacks
and anorexia/depression/anxiety etc. I want to show that with these types
of people, they avoid social life as they cannot be judged from locking
themselves up. The message I want to get across is that the mirror and
social media is really our worst enemy in day to day life. Leading on from
this I want to produce my story to show that having reassurance by your
side can really impact the way you feel, and that at first you may believe
no one cares but the reality really is someone in your life will and can take
note of how you act, hopefully supporting you to know you are not alone.

Overall, I want my audience to mainly feel like having these thoughts and
emotions they can know that they are not alone, and that everyone
suffers in silence one way or the other, which might not be in terms of
weight, but something more mental such as family life, personality, etc.
With this, it will hopefully create a passionate meaning and let my
audience relate to my music video to the best of their ability.
