on the thought and beliefs, such as religion or even culture.
In my perspective I think I’m a traditional person
and it is due to the culture and religion in which my family raised me. That means that I’m catholic and a 100% Colombian.
So, with what I mention, I think it’s time to
present me and my family traditions.
All of this began when I was born, in first place
my mom had a very complicated pregnancy and when I was born it was a kind of miracle. That’s why they call me Maria Jose, because a catholic name, also I must have to mention that I born the day of the carmen virgin.
Also, because we are catholic, we used to go to
church every Sunday and have catholic ceremonies, like weddings, first communion or confirmation. Continuing with these traditions, I already made my first communion, my confirmation and one day I want to get married.
On the other hand, as for my 100% Colombian
side, we like to be very traditional, for example during Christmas festivities we pray the novenas, we eat buñuelos and natilla.
On December 24, we always wait until midnight
to receive the niño jesus and open the gifts. We do the same on December 31 with the difference that right at midnight we throw lentils, we eat 12 grapes and with each of these we make a wish. And finally my favorite tradition is my birthday, I always celebrate it with my family and fiends, I choose a diferent restauran every year and celebrate it big.
