Proposal for feeding needy leprosy patients’ families

We work among several leprosy patients’ colonies around Chennai. Of them we

have selected the following three colonies:
1. Madurantakam Colony
2. Malaiadi Nagar Colony, Vandalore
3. Bethel Nagar Colony,Near Chinglepet.
From these colonies has many families but we have identified 30 families of leprosy
patients who are in dire need and do not have any support from any healthy family
member.
We suggest that each family be given a monthly food rations support pack of the
following:

1. Rice 5 Kilos
2. Dhal 1 Kilo
3. Refined oil 1 litre
4. Spice powder pack 1 set
This would cost a total of approximately Rs 500 per family . So to run this program
every month we would require a support of Rs 15,000 a month which is USD 200.
If you want us to give them additionally the following:
1. Channa dal 1 kilo
2.Sugar 1 kilo
3.Tea powder 1 packet
4. Wheat flour 2 kg

It would cost an additional Rs 250 per family and would involve additional expense of
Rs 7500 which is USD 100.
