I. PROPOSED TOPIC- The Development of Levitating Chair with the use of Magnets and
Recycled Materials
II. INTRODUCTION/RATIONALE -
Today's chairs are undergoing a rapid evolution. It can be made of metal, wood, or
plastic. There are literally many different types and varieties of chairs available today, and it
is clear that as time goes on everything changes, so do chairs. The researcher has therefore
developed the concept of a levitating chair. with the aid of recycled materials and magnets.
The idea to employ recycled materials came to the researcher because pollution has become a
Since practically everything today is high tech. The researcher came up with the concept to
employ a magnet to build a levitating chair. Recyclable materials will be used to construct
the chair, and the researcher will attempt to make the chair float with the aid of magnets. And
to go along with that, strong magnets are needed. Magnets, however, can be harmful if we
Magnets is dangerous depends on how people handle it. The use of magnets is
crucial in this study. Since the magnet will lift objects made of recycled materials, which can
be hazardous because of the components it contains. Moreover, sizes of magnets may affect
the force by levitating objects. Since there will be a lot of magnets required to levitate a
person.

According to Stanford Magnets (2020), “There are different aspects of, whether
magnets are dangerous or not. This totally depends on the situation. Magnets are dangerous if
they are not handled with care, and the danger increases, the more powerful the magnet gets.
Fingers and skin can get caught between strong magnets, and the bigger ones can even cause
bone fractures. However, we cannot claim that using magnets will allow us to levitate
objects. "
a magnet magically float in the air above another magnet. At least, that’s true if you’re using
just a pair of strong magnets. Magnets can repel each other with enough force. Having
enough force to levitate it isn’t the problem. The problem is that this setup isn’t stable. The
floating magnet tends to rotate around, flipping itself to attract to the other magnet.”
Without exercising caution, using magnets can be harmful and result in injuries. It
will be tough to prevent accidents, especially when utilizing strong magnets; if magnets are
not handled carefully, a lot of possible things can occur. Especially when those who will
utilize it are unfamiliar with how magnets operate and how it revolves. Magnets, also can
affect an electrical equipment, for instance, phone cards, smart watches, SD/storage cards,
credit cards, computer hardware, video and audio cassettes, pacemaker users, and heart
The researcher had simply designed the product for aesthetic purposes. The
concept was developed to produce furniture that was out of the norm, since modern chairs are
remarkably similar and nearly identical. This work can be used by future researchers to
