THE HEAT IS ON:

EXPLORING THE
CAUSES OF
GLOBAL WARMING
INTRODUCTION
Global warming is a gradual increase in the
overall temperature of the Earth's atmosphere.
It is primarily caused by the greenhouse effect
which traps heat within the atmosphere. The
burning of fossil fuels and deforestation are
major causes of the greenhouse effect.
FOSSIL FUELS
The burning of fossil fuels is responsible for
approximately 75% of the increase in carbon
dioxide levels in the atmosphere. Carbon
dioxide traps heat within the atmosphere,
leading to global warming. Coal, oil, and natural
gas are the primary sources of fossil fuels.
DEFORESTATION
Deforestation contributes to global warming by
reducing the number of trees that absorb
carbon dioxide through photosynthesis.
Deforestation also releases carbon dioxide into
the atmosphere through the burning of trees.
The Amazon Rainforest is a major area of
concern for deforestation.
GREENHOUSE GASES
Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide,
methane, and nitrous oxide, trap heat within the
atmosphere and contribute to global warming.
Human activities, such as agriculture and
transportation, are major sources of these
gases.
EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

The effects of global warming include rising sea

levels, more extreme weather conditions, and
melting ice caps. These effects have negative
impacts on ecosystems, economies, and human
health.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, global warming is primarily caused by human activities, such as
the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. It is important for individuals,
businesses, and governments to take action to reduce their carbon footprint and
limit the negative impacts of global warming.
