First Catholic mass happened in the Philippines
The second place to make this claim is Butuan. There are witnesses to the first mass being
spoken there, but I'm not convinced. The first piece of evidence is the monument in Butuan. They
asserted that this structure serves as a reminder of the legend that Magellan held the first mass in
Butuan following his landing. The evidence is not convincing because anyone can put a monument or a
statue anywhere and claim that it was the location of the first mass. Another piece of evidence is the
objects they said were found in Butuan and were a part of the initial mass. Artifacts do not necessarily
prove that the first mass was celebrated there. Possibly a significant incident happened.
The first mass was said in the Philippines on March 31, 1521, and it is now Easter Sunday.
Filipinos argue on the location of the first mass celebrated in the Philippines. According to some, it was
supposedly seen at Butuan or Limasawa. On this subject, there is a ton of contradictory information.
According to the original contradicting information, where did the initial mass actually occur? They are
able to show that the Philippines was the location of the first mass thanks to numerous pieces of
evidence. Second, "Did Ferdinand Magellan's voyage travel in the direction of Butuan and Limasawa? ".
It is essential to understand where Ferdinand Magellan's voyage landed.
In conclusion, I concur with the Limasawa evidence because it is stronger and comes from a far
wider range of reliable sources than Butuan. The first mass was celebrated at Limasawa, too, as per
Republic Act 2733 and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
