Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)
You are allocated to CCA based on your talents and
abilities, and interests.

Be it in Sports, Uniformed Groups, Performing


Arts/Musical Groups, or in the Clubs and Societies, the
CCA program develops strong character traits;
inculcating the values of responsibility, discipline,
perseverance and commitment.

It also develops leadership and builds in you the spirit of


service to others.

Through various activities, the program fosters


camaraderie among Rafflesians and instills in us the
Rafflesian Spirit and the commitment to excellence.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs)
Every pupil must join 1 Core CCA
CCA days – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4.00
pm to 6.30 pm
Some CCAs have trainings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and
Saturday mornings (refer to CCA Training Schedule for exact
details)
In Semester 1, Y1s who are non-DSA and not yet selected to
represent the school would end CCA at 6pm.
Merit CCA is optional – formal session on Fridays from
2.00pm to 3.30pm
What we would like to accomplish through CCA

• Meaningful memories are made
• Enjoy

Through CCA, you would get to experience all of these and these
different aspects of CCA form the basis of your well-being. CCA is
an important avenue for holistic development.

CCA Grading System (LEAPS 2.0)
At the end of Year 4, you would be recognized with levels of
attainment (Excellent/Good/Fair) in 4 domains:
• Leadership (e.g. Monitor, Prefects, Captain)
• Achievement (Representation, Attainment, Accomplishment)
• Participation (e.g. attendance in Core CCA, House activities,
SYF, NDP)
• Service (VIA and CIP projects)
Attendance
You must ensure that you have at least 75% attendance
for your CCA in order to be given any CCA points

You are strongly encouraged to put in your best effort


into your CCA and monitor your participation

Physical tests to measure Upper & Lower Body Strength, Speed,
Agility and Cardiovascular Fitness:

• 25m Sprints
• Standing Broad Jump
• Inclined Pull-ups
• 1km Run

Done during PE lessons in Week 2 to 4

*Boys recently vaccinated (less than 2 weeks) will be scheduled for

Compulsory Sports trials - HOCKEY, SOFTBALL, RUGBY & JUDO (during PE

Log into Stamford portal, go to “ Year 1 CCA Registration”. Update CCA Records
Signing up for the CCA trials - This step allow students to sign up for CCA trials/auditions
(max 15 trials), this trial are set up by respective CCA mentor beforehand.
Choose 9 Core CCAs (4 Sports, 2 UG and 3 PA /Debates) & up to 2 Merit CCA options
Summary

• Check Shortlisted list for Sports, UG and PA in the system from 1 Feb

• Appeal dates – 17 Feb & 18 Feb @ PE Dept Office immediately after

General Instructions
• 3 Y1 classes are assigned one level.
• In each level, they are given 30 minutes to go through all 3 CCA rooms (with either 1 or 2
CCA presentations in each room).
• Each Y1 class will spend 10 minutes at each classroom for the CCA presentations.
• For classrooms with only 1 CCA, the first 5 minutes will be given for the CCA presentation.
The remaining 5 minutes will be a washroom or water break for the respective Year 1
class.
• At the end of the 30 minutes, the 3 Year 1 classes will move on to the next level via the
assigned staircases.
• The PSLs will facilitate the movement along the level.
• All boys must be wearing masks and keep to the 1m physical distancing from one another.
• Boys are encouraged to ask as many questions during the presentations so that they have
a better idea of what each CCA can offer them.
• Due to current SMMs, they are not allowed to touch or try out any of the CCA items
shown or on display.
