The VIP Electronic Demand control goes beyond state-of-the-art to set a new
standard in water softener, filter and dealkalizer controls.
Advanced electronics. All PC board mounted, with 4-button keypad and alphanumeric LCD menu
display. Two high-powered outputs, two switch inputs, two 10 amp outputs for service and regeneration
signals, one 10 amp output for brine pump or caustic pump operation during regeneration, single high-speed
turbine input, safe 24-volt operation. Main memory holds time and status data forever, so power outages do
not cause memory loss; no need to reprogram. All contained in a Nema-4X water-tight enclosure. Built-in salt
minder tells user when salt level is low.
It’s self-diagnostic. When equipment malfunctions, the Electronic Demand control emits a tone to alert
operating personnel, and can provide a 10 amp output to a remote alarm. A built-in piezoelectric speaker
transmits a tone alert when an error has occurred. A diagnostics level within the control is provided to aid in
troubleshooting.
It foretells the future. Main memory tracks operating parameters and accumulates data, and a “look-
ahead” feature adjusts regenerations / backwashes as needed.
Easy installation. Main power cord for pre-wired valves plug into the Electronic Demand control through
water-tight twist lock connectors and it is ready for operation. Modular design allows simple addition and
reconfiguration for single, parallel, or alternating operation. Control is wall or pipe mounted.
Easy start-up. Mount the control, connect to the valve, program, and walk away.
We can’t say that it controls cost less than comparable controls because there are no comparables. So we
go one better — the Electronic Demand control is priced lower than other controls that may require more
frequent service calls and, the costliest problem of all, less equipment down-time. In addition, it costs less to
acquire.
The VIP Control is available in three models. The VIP-I controls one or two tanks in single,
parallel, or alternating mode with one meter. The VIP-II controls two, three, or four tanks in
parallel or alternating mode with one meter on each tank. The VIP-III controls two, three, or
four tanks in parallel or alternating mode. The VIP-III can move units from stand-by to
service based on the required flow rate. When service flow increases, units are moved to
service position and as requirements decrease, units are placed back in stand-by, known as
VARIABLE DEMAND.
