ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT OF THE KNOWLEDGE CHANNEL TEACHING IN


THE NEW NORMAL PROGRAM

Introduction

Education was affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic for 2 years and the
call to continue educating the pupils is a challenge to everyone on what modality to
use in teaching. This year, the school is back to face-to-face and shifted to a new
normal mode of learning. The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. and LBC Hari
ng Padala Foundation, Inc. are very much concerned on the learning recovery of
the pupils and implemented the Knowledge Channel Teaching In New Normal
Program which is integrating Knowledge Channel Videos in teaching. Luckily, the
school is one of the recipients of this said program.

A. Student Development

Integrating KC videos in the lessons make learning more meaningful, fun


and interactive since the pupils can really see actual demonstration of the lesson
and explained thoroughly in the video. The pupils are very much attentive on the
lessons and they show more participation because they can see moving videos and
clear audio rather than the still pictures and words usually seen in the books.
Students tend to remember the lessons in the video which their scores in formative
assessments are good. They are very much excited to see some of the KC videos on
other subjects.

B. Teacher Development

As part of the task of the teacher to teach their pupils, integrating KC videos
in the lessons is a very good help for they will only have less talk and let the videos
do the explaning. Various teaching strategies are also learned by the teachers such
as using technology in instruction, KCh Teaching and Learning Sequence and
Thinking Maps. The development of lesson plan with KC video integration was also
observed.

C. Academic Performance of the Learners

During the implementation of the program, changes on the academic


performance of the students are noticeable. Primary grade pupils who are poor on
literacy are improving because of the Epol Apple and Wikaharian videos are
integrated in the lessons. Numeracy also improved with the help of MathTinik and
MathDali videos.

D. Other Related Development

To ensure the continuity in implementing the KCTINN program the school


schedule on monitoring class integration of the videos.
