Barangay Bayalse is used to drought-like weather, the people and the ecosystems that thrive in

it are built or accustomed to withstand the situation but recently, they were experiencing
excessive rainfalls which the community and the environment are experiencing greater losses in
daily living. The current situation has impacted their environmental, economic, and mental
situations making it a barely habitable place.

To address the situation that Barangay Bayalse faces, we must employ further studies on how to
mitigate the effects of climate change, assist the locals by providing them basic knowledge on
surviving the weather, and provide alternatives for livelihood. Mainly we must seek to reach for
our government aids as problems like these require more than seminars as it poses security
threats in terms of food and safety for the people affected.

Climate change can be very damaging at a point of no return, and the only possible way to survive
it is to adapt to the environmental changes it brings. We must remember the basic protocols of
disaster readiness and risk reductions; prevention may not be a hundred percent guarantee for
survival but it is essential in keeping us secure for a longer time being.
