● Why are governments around the world starting to invest in tourism infrastructure?
What does this mean for the competitive environment for the Philippine’s tourism
product?
- The government around the world starts to invest in tourism infrastructure
because it will give their tourism a big potential to help the economy grow.
Investing and building different infrastructure will aim to attract new and
retaining tourist or customers which is a good thing both for the tourism and the
country. It will also help the tourism to expand and be recognize not just the
people inside the country but also worldwide. It can help the locals to gain money
to their business. Investing in tourism infrastructure in the Philippines means the
business will more likely to get competitive and will up to their game in order to
sell their own. But this also have a negative side like it will affect the locals or
people who lives near the said tourist infrastructure. It will also affect the budget
of the government, it will make the pay more expensive.
