Privilegium Gotthardinum

While our people are mainly latvians, the majority our rulling class is, however
German. Hence it became a necessity to ensure the power of our nobles. The
privilege issued by Gotthard Kettler the first duke of free Curland and Semigallia
allows our landholders to enserf the native peasantry on their lands and grants
them a high juridical power, this shall strengthen our authority effectively.

Legacy of Sword Brethren

The Duchy of Curland is established on the lands of the Livonian Brothers of the
Sword. Our first duke was the Grandmaster and our nobility, the knights of the
Order. After fall of the Order nobles decided to secularize, but the Christian
Knights' fortress stands firmly.

The North Campaign

During the reign of king Peter von Wolfe curonian troops went on 2 year campaing
into russian lands and after several battles emerge victorious established new
frontier.

Castles of Curlandia

The Livonian Brothers of the Sword covered our country in a tight network of
castles so as to defend us against heathens and russians alike. This has served us
well but defenses have to be maintained. As a small people surronded by hostile
neighbors we would do well to carry on the Livonian legacy and maintain and expand
the defensive line we have inherited.

Baltic Trade

Baltic Merchants have long dominated our cities and our exports are all overseas.
We must continue to strengthen our historical ties with the Baltic sea.

Daugava River Trade

Daugava river has been a major trade rout for cemturies. Let it continue to fill
our coffers for centuries to come.

Modernize Curlandian Castles

Since medieval times Curonia has been covered by numerous castles. Many of those
are now becoming outdated and vulnerable to contemporary weaponry. We need to
strenghten their defences with modern bastions that can repel such threats.
