How to have a healthy heart

1. Quit smoking:
Tobacco use increases the risk of heart disease and heart attack. Cigarette
smoking promotes atherosclerosis and increases the levels of blood clotting
factors, such as fibrinogen. Also, nicotine raises blood pressure, and carbon
monoxide reduces the amount of oxygen that blood can carry. Exposure to
other people's smoke can increase the risk of heart disease even nonsmokers.

2. Reduce stress
Stress can physically damage your heart muscle. Stress damages your
heart because stress hormones increase your heart rate and constrict your
blood vessels. This forces your heart to work harder and increases your
blood pressure.

3. Lose weight
Being overweight can lead to fatty material building up in your arteries (the
blood vessels that carry blood to your organs). If the arteries that carry blood
to your heart get damaged and clogged, it can lead to a heart attack. If this
happens in the arteries that carry blood to your brain as it can lead to a stroke

or vascular dementia.
4. Cut the fat
