Feature #1 (MissU)

Finest Beauty for the Finest Crown

“And the new Miss Universe is…”

As the host starts to announce who the next Miss Universe is, everyone was at the
edge of their seats, including Emmanuel Sanchez, waiting to hear his hometown be
announced. Rather, the country that someone from his hometown is representing.

But the odds of the Philippines winning currently are low. Because out of the 40
deserving contestants, there can only be one. And Emman knows that.

While everyone thinks that the pageant is all about beauty and their gowns or
swimsuits, For Emman, the contestants that aspire in becoming the Miss Universe must be
intelligent, well-mannered and cultured.

Brains, discipline, and beauty.

With that in mind, he noticed that the judges had a hard time picking out the best
among the best. Even if it was just the evening gown and swimsuit, they took their time
examining each contestant – examining the ones to go on the final round.

And when Philippines got into the top 3, Emman let out a beautiful smile.

During the interview round, it only got harder. The contestants gave out insightful
answers showing what they really think about the question, making the judges feel
exhausted even though it was just the three of them that answered.

Yet only one left a remark on the judges’ minds.

“Is it okay to make mistakes every now and then?”

“Yes, since mistakes are somewhat like a teacher. Every mistake you make; it acts
like a teacher. A teacher that brings you up even though there is that feeling you’re gonna
give up. For me, experiencing mistakes are the best teachers if you learn from them.”
“…Philippines!”

As Emmanuel heard his country’s name, he knew that supporting his own was the
best idea. From the start, he knew what the Philippine’s representative can do – he knew
that she was the one fitting for the finest crown; the finest beauty for the finest crown.
