 Specialized in a concentration for Critical Care Nutrition Therapy which was completed within several intensive
care units at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
 Expanded on medical nutrition therapy knowledge by assessing over eight patients a day; experienced a variety of
disease states, diagnosed malnutrition as medically appropriate, recommended nutrition prescriptions, provided
nutrition education.

Diet Office Representative and Clinical Student Shadowing

 Learn Health Touch program in order to communicate with ~120 patients per meal period to order a meal within
their diet restrictions and found solutions for difficult dietary restraints.
 Followed RDNs for 30 hours to have a practical application in the filed for medical nutritional therapy course
work by interviewing patients on diet and relevant history, observe nutrition focused physical exams and provide
diet education.

Student Research Assistant August 2021 – December 2021
 Research began in 2005 and assesses chronic disease risk during emerging adulthood through multiple
assessments of health.
 Collected anthropometric and biochemical data such as waist circumference, height, weight, body composition,
blood pressure and lipid/glucose blood panel as well as assist during the fitness assessment and bone density
testing; presented on specifics of indirect calorimetry testing.
