Glaiza Being a teacher encompasses a great role in achieving the intended learning outcome incorporated in the curriculum. Hence,it is crucial as a future educator, to engage the students with the curriculum content, through creative thinking and active learning. It is essential as a future teacher to develop strategize teaching in implementing the curriculum while making learning effective. It is also important to note that students learn through experience, and teachers/pre-service teachers should see to it how to touch the lives of the students while being educated through these texts. Furthermore, it is the educator who creates culture-appreciative classroom. The role of the teachers is to touch the lives, shaping the future. Therefore, as a curriculum implementer, it is paving way for the future through meaningful and effective interaction. The emergent of new literacies create an avenue for tech-savvy students to maximize their learning which is directly proportional to the set of skills they possess. Hence, in incorporating this in my class, it is important to note what strategies and techniques should be utilized to cater their needs while integrating these new literacies. Media and Digital literacy as concrete examples, can and may be used in the teaching process, art literacy on the other hand can be incorporated in the learning process of the students. Additionally, the classroom setting itself shall reflect culture sensitivity, mirrors eco-literate students. Hence, the incorporation of these new literacies is dependent to the objectives to be achieved. Liceria & Co.
