Composition:
Active ingredients: 2.5 mL of syrup contains 0.0175 g of dried ivy
extract (Hedera Helix) (0.7 g/100 mL), min. 35 mg hederacoside
C., exc. w/w. Contains potassium sorbate. 2.5 mL contains 0.963
g of sorbitol.
Other ingredients: anhydrous citric acid, xanthan gum, aroma,
sorbitol solution 70%. 2.5 ml of solution contains 0.963 g of the
sugar substitute sorbitol = 0.08 BU.
Indications:
Acute catarrh (inflammation) of the respiratory tract accompanied
by cough; treatment of symptoms of chronic inflammatory
bronchial diseases.
Contraindications:
In case of fructose intolerance, treatment should only be carried
out after consulting a doctor. Pregnancy and lactation: Medicines
should generally only be taken during pregnancy and lactation
after consulting a doctor.
This medication contains sorbitol. If you have been told by your
doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your
doctor before taking/using this medicinal product.
Side effects: In rare
cases, ABRILAR® EA 575® Cough Syrup may have a laxative
effect due to the sorbitol content in the product.
In very rare cases, allergic hypersensitivity reactions have been
reported. Patients sensitive to gas trointestinal discomfort may
occasionally present nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
Interactions with other drugs:
No adverse effects are known in the case of simultaneous
ingestion of ABRILAR® EA 575® Cough Syrup and other
medications. Therefore, this preparation can be safely combined
with other medications, such as antibiotics.
Posology and method of administration:
If not otherwise prescribed, administer to infants and young
children 2.5 ml 3 times a day, to children of school age and
adolescents 5 ml 3 times a day, and to adults 5 - 7.5 ml of solution
3 times a day.
Always shake the bottle well before use!
Duration of treatment: The
duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the
clinical picture; however, treatment should last at least one week
even in the case of minor inflammation of the respiratory tract.
Treatment with ABRILAR® EA 575® Cough Syrup should be
maintained for 2 to 3 days once the symptoms have subsided, in
order to ensure the lasting success of the treatment.
In case of persistent discomfort or the appearance of respiratory
insufficiency, fever or even purulent or bloody expectoration, a
doctor should be consulted immediately.
