PREFACE

Pharmacy is the Art and Science of preparing and dispensing drug. It is


the health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and
aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. So it is
a fully technical profession where practical knowledge ismuch
more important along with theoretical knowledge.

According to curriculum of a four year integrated degree course of


BACHELOR OF PHARMACY each student has to undergo practical
training for a periods of four week in various pharmaceutical industries in
India.

I was directed to undergo my industrial training at COOPER


PHARMA LIMITED, this report containa brief description of the above
pharmaceutical industry which was observed during the training program.

INTRODUCTION
The industrial visit of 2019 took place in Dehradun (Uttarakhand), India from 8 th
march2019 to 14 march 2019. 54 students visited 2 pharmaceutical plants viz,
Cooper Pharma Limited and Vamso biotec pvt. Ltd. The accommodation of the
students visiting was organized in Dehradun and it was 2-3 hours journey from
Massoori by the bus to the industries those were set in Dehradun.

Dehradun industrial tour is a prime attraction for biotechnology, botany, agri,


geography and petrochemical students. Many institutions of national importance like
forest Research Institute; Oil and Natural Gas Commission; Indian Military
Academy; Wild Life Institute etc. are located n Deradun which make it a place of
national importance attracting tourists in large numbers.

Dehradun serves as the gateway to
the hiss resort of mussoorie.
Nestled in the mountain ranges of
Himalayas, Dehradun is the capital
of Uttarakhand.

The name Dehradun is a collection of two words”dera” meaning camp and


”dun” meaning valley. Said to be one of the oldest cities in India, it is believed that
Lord Rama and his brotherdid penance here or killing Ravana, the demon king.
During the 17th and 18th centuries Dehradun changed hands several times: Guru Ram
Rai retreated here from Punjab, the mugal Governor Najib-ud-Daula occupied it
from 1757-1770 and the gorkhas overran it on their westward expansion before
proceding it to the British in 1815. Under the british, Dehradun became an elite town
with many a fine institutions such as the Forest Resurch Institute, Doon School and
Welham Schools for girls and boys, many more like the ONGC and Wadia Institute
of Himalayan Studies, were added in time.

Dehradun, the capital of the picturesque hill state of Uttarakhand. Dehradun is

• Quality Control

Quality control begins at the time of


material planning and continues through the
process of receiving the APIs and other material
for the production, which is sourced from

monitoring the stability of the product during the
shelf life continues until the release of the
finished goods for sale and expiry of the product.
We have an in-house modern testing laboratory, which is equipped with all the
necessary instruments and a highly-qualified technical staff. An area of over 10,000
sq ft and a team of over 25 skilled employees is dedicated especially for QC
activities.

the APIs. We import quality raw materials from reliable sources in Germany, Italy,
and other European countries. We operate in total compliance with the G.M.P. norms
set by the W.H.O. and the latest international guidelines set by the USFDA/

CONCLUSION

I have undergone industrial visit at Dehradun. During this visit I have seen
various production & Quality control departments of “COOPER PHARMA
LIMITED ,In this company I saw the different production section like Tablet,
Capsule & Liquid Section including Packaging Section, QA & QC sections
respectively during industrial visit.

I found that production was carried out on job flow & Batch production system.
All the companies were reflecting the standard modes of manufacturing & other
process involved in production.

As being a budding scientist in pharmacy discipline, I cultivated my knowledge


with taking in my account of best methodologies in that functional operational
system of companies in my Seven days visit by interacting with people over
there and come to know how social practical & intellectual relation in full
fledged manner.

G.M.P. & S.O.P. methodologies of the company was reflecting the standard mode
of manufacturing, maintenance of machinery & other process involved in
production & quality control. Quality control department is fully equipped with
highly sophisticated & modern analytical instrument for presenting a authentic
perspective of product quality which is responsible for goodwill of company.

Last but not least, I made myself highly profile by governing the knowledge in
connection & coordination which the company transaction which will be
incredibility lucrative in my professional regard & of coarse given me a
accelerated drift to serve the society & acting as a panacea for mortality &
reducing the morbidity of human health ailment & providing long lasting life
safe guard to them.
