 Instructions to Candidates:
1. Prerequisites for taking the Preliminary Test:
a. A Laptop or PC with a web camera, microphone, and speakers. Preinstalled Google Chrome version 61 or above, with Google Meet in working condition (Please
note that it is not possible to take the test with smartphones).
b. Power backup and proper internet bandwidth (Broadband Internet connectivity). As an abundant precaution, keep the laptop fully charged, with a sufficient data
limit.
c. One should take the test in a noise-free and sufficient light environment.
d. Other than the candidate, no one is allowed in the room where the test is taking place.
e. One should not move from the initial adjusted position during the test for any reason.

2. Candidate should take the Preliminary Test on 26th May, 2023 from 10 AM to 11 AM (Reporting Time at 9:25 AM)
a. Join the Google Meet at 9:25 AM for the Preliminary test. Google Meet Login details will be made available in the candidate’s Dashboard
(i.e. https://vedaiit.org/application/veda_examination/student_login.php).
b. Set the video resolution to 360p to avoid bandwidth issues.
c. Preliminary Test link (i.e. https://exam.vedaiit.org) is provided in the candidate’s Dashboard.
d. Login user id for taking the test is your Hall Ticket Number
e. Password for the test can be obtained by clicking “Get Password” button provided in the candidate’s Dashboard from 9:30 AM.
f. For any test login-related issues contact your invigilator provided in your dashboard.
g. Question Paper Loading Issue: If the candidate encounters a question paper loading issue, they should wait for a few seconds (approximately 10 seconds)
and then use the refresh button (F5). Click on the 'Continue Exam' popup to proceed with the test. Exam timings will only commence once the question paper
has been successfully loaded.

3. The script will not be evaluated, if the candidate’s Google Meet Video is off / Audio muted / candidate log's out during the Test.
4. During the test, talking to others and using any type of electronic gadget are strictly prohibited.
5. Switching tabs/windows are not permitted during the exam.
6. Taking a screenshot or any other way of copying questions are strictly prohibited.
7. The Preliminary Test will be of 60 minutes duration. Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination until the duration of the test time.
8. VEDA IIT will not be responsible for any constraints that the applicant may face in taking the test.
9. Successful Candidates in the Preliminary Test will be informed through Dashboard/mail/SMS.

Main Test: 4th June, 2023 Time: 10 AM to 1 PM

1. Physical Hall Ticket should be produced for the Main test, failing which the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the test.
2. Carry one photograph to be affixed on “Question Paper cum Answer Booklets” of the Main Test.
3. Mathematical tables, calculators, mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets will not be allowed into the examination hall. All such items should be left outside the
examination hall. Candidates need to take their own responsibility for the same and management is not responsible for any loss/theft/damage.
4. Use black or blue pen/ball pen to answer all questions. Pencils may be used only for drawing waveforms/sketches.
5. Carry out all the rough work on empty pages of the answer book. Mention the Question No. against the rough work of each problem.
6. Adoption of any kind of unfair means at the time of test or taking part in any act of impersonation will result in cancellation of script and forfeiture of his/her claim for
appearing on this test and any future tests conducted by VEDA. The Decision of the Chief Superintendent of the Examination Centre shall be final in all these matters.
7. Question paper cum answer booklet / Rough Work Sheet is confidential and should not be copied in any form and should be submitted back to the invigilator while
remaining in their seats.
8. Main Test will be of 3 Hrs. duration. Candidates are not allowed to leave the test hall until the duration of the test time.
9. Staple the Hall Ticket on the top of the Answer Booklet.
10. Successful Candidates in the Main Test will be informed through Dashboard/mail/SMS.
