[�] KITCHENS
Behind the long bar rests a large kitchen staffed by several
cooks and servants, busily preparing meals for both the
guests staying at the tavern, as well as the menu for
performances each afternoon and evening. A stout
wooden door leads out into the street, where an adjoining
building serving as the buttery, as well as a nearby well for
fresh water.
Other doors lead into the larder, out behind the bar and
into the common room.
[�] LARDER
This small storage room is crammed with crates of fresh
fruit and produce, sacks of grain, barrels of fish, kegs of
ale and other supplies delivered daily. The area is kept
fairly clean, though mostly due to the impossibility of
keeping product on the shelves long enough to age.
[�] BACK OFFICE
This small office affords Jillian a space to meet privately
with important guests, staff and performers. Her tavern
has inserted her back into the political scene, as well as a
relevant piece of the Academy’s culture. She prides
herself on her role and sense of importance in the grand
scene of things within the city, sometimes going to her
head.
A door leads out into the common room, while a secret
door leads downstairs into a lower level.
[�] UPPER ROOMS
The second floor of the tavern contains Jillian’s personal
living space and several rooms available for rent. The
rooms vary from a large common room filled with bunks
to a plush single room with fireplace, comfortable

Jillian is a stout halfling born into the streets of the city
and growing up in an orphanage. Spending most of her
days getting into trouble in the streets, Jillian found
herself drawn to the sights and sounds of the Artisan
District and would spend hours listening to the musicians
and students perform on the benches outside the
Academy during the day.
One day, Headmistress Myra Stilt walked by Jillian quietly
singing a harmony to one of the nearby students’ music.
When asked where she learned it, Jillian simply replied
that it felt right and the Headmistress took a gamble and
invited the girl to join the Academy as a guest.
• Jillian has a soft spot for rogues and street people.
• Jillian feels a need to help others get a step up in life to
repay the debt to Headmistress Silt for her giving her
an opportunity to thrive.
• Jillian is proud of her position and constantly name
drops the important people she’s met.
• Jillian finishes most people’s stories with, “You think
THAT’S amazing, listen to this…” and one-ups them.
ADVENTURE HOOKS
There are a variety of ways to use the Worth Note:
• The party runs afoul some of the Academy’s haughty
students, who challenge their bard to a competition.
• The party is searching for a particular noble, who is
said to visit the Note some evenings to scout talent.
• Word comes to the party that an assassination
attempt is likely on an important guest staying at the
Note and paid to intercede.
• Jillian has an old adventuring buddy in another city
that has something she wants the party to fetch.
