3. Use the holiday preceding your summer school to market your school 🏫
These three approaches are best as you plan your third term

A well-planned third term will set you up for a fantastic resumption

Nothing can be as worse and as painful as

Spending time and money to impress parents

*Buying the best gifts*

*Cooking the best meal*

And still have the parents walk out of your school for *Academic Reasons*

*Good marketing can never sell a bad product*

The third term isn't a time to joke around at all

It's like the last shot to make an impression

So

Do not be blinded by the parties and graduation

*Since you will be spending a whole lot of money*

Then use it as a marketing tool

Here is where to start

1. *Gather the list of persons around your business*

This is called the low-hanging fruits


*All inquiry list*

*All past parents list*

*All present parents list*

*All referral list*

*How To Make People Witness Your Event*


My dear friend elder brother Tunde told me something while we were younger

He was like I was the push behind the success of our *Praise and Power Night Program*

Do you know why?

It was the first time putting together this spiritual event

So what we did was simple

We write a letter to all the surrounding churches inviting them

Every Sunday we would go out from 9.30 am to 11 am to distribute letters to about 40


churches

From there

I build a list of 40 churches and all their youth leaders

I will then put the list in my automated text message system

The message delivered every Sunday morning by 5 am

This reminded them of the event we invited them too

We had over 1000 attendees to this event with the venue filled to the brim
I remember clearly that my dad was in tears cause we did this at a very young age

Right in my second year at UNILAG.

A successful event that generates results is based on

1. Make sure you have the contacts of the invitees

2. Following up on these contacts at least 5 times before the event.

Many events go unsuccessful just because people don't follow these rules

*Too scared to call*

*Too afraid of rejection*

*Too busy to take action*

And that should not be you...

To make an event successful today

It's even way easy

How do you ask me...

*Three tools to use effectively*

1. *Automated Text Message*

This is pretty much programming text to deliver to your guests

You can register in text platforms and get verified


And then program your text message

2. *WhatsApp Invite*

This pretty much using WhatsApp to send the same thing you sent as a text message

Either through

*Creating a broadcast list*

The only thing here is that

If the other person doesn't have your number saved

They won't receive your broadcast

I only recommend WhatsApp group creation for

*Schools that have parents that wrote their entrance exams*

This works exceptionally well for upselling other things

Which is like your chats but sent individually

3. *Phone call Invitation*

This is picking up the phones and calling each number

In fact

There is this window period during the *Third Term Holiday*

It's about *1 or 2 Weeks* before summer school resumption

You see at that moment here is the psychology going on

1. They are not ready for this break

2. Where can these children go to

3. Getting ready for a unique summer

*In The School Owners Mind*

1. My time to rest

2. How will I make money this holiday

3. We need to get trained

*In the Teachers mind*

1. I need to rest

2. Maybe I won't do summer school

3. 🤔 Let me start applying to other schools or other jobs

1. This is a free week

2. Parents are looking for where to send this kid

3. Can I take advantage of this time

Dear Life Builder a happy new month to you… Welcome to the month of MAY

As you read this you start to just picture if this advice is really yours

Still talking about the *Pre-Summer School Event*

Here is what to put in mind.

It's basically not designed for every school

When I came up with this plan myself.

I had one thing in mind

*Mission*

It gutted me to see young people with the potential to waste it

So my passion was to put together a leadership program.

That leadership program was designed to change their orientation.

As much as it lead to growth, growth wasn't the focus from the start.

So please bear this in mind.


This mission is what I sold to volunteers

In fact

We had more volunteers than needed both from inside and outside the school

So my pre-summer school suggestion is from being mission-minded.

To break it down

*What's your Summer School About*

You really don't have to do 5000 things to have a nice summer school

I'll talk about that one in the next inner circle

Let's say your summer school is about Crafts.

*Have a Pre-Summer Invite For an Experience*

You could pick a day within the free period I mentioned in my last post

*Have a Hobbies And Craft Open House*

It could be free, it could be low cost

The point is to use it to wake up those that haven't had a taste of your school to come...

*Offer them something juicy*

1. Those that partake of this craft day will have a special gift or special discount on summer
school registration

So let's say your summer school costs 10,000


Crafts day attendees can have 2k off

Non-attendee will pay 10,000

2. Make them see the need to get into summer school to experience more

3. Do a good job in your summer school

*Two Things Will Happen*

1. *Publicity* - These kids will go home talking about their experience in your school.

Obviously, they won't all be registered

But your school's name will keep growing

2. *Registration*

This is inevitable, as parents keep knowing your school

Inquiries increase and then you can register them

This is a simple or not-so-simple way of Impacting your environment

And then growing

As I said, if you are not impact-driven or

If your school is already doing fine growth wise

You might not like this idea

You can promote your summer school as much as you want

It doesn't mean it will generate any buzz or Registration

What do you then promote Instead?

I have tried to lay this out as clearly as possible.

1. Focus on your pre-summer event

2. Make beautiful flyers about your pre-summer event

3. Send a letter to all parents to invite their friends and attach a bill and registration
document.

4. Ask your teachers to refer as many people as they can

5. Go to traffic centers and structure invites

Once you think of summer school this way

*You have left thousands of schools behind*

Who will only wake up 2 weeks to vacation to print

*Summer Splash*
*Summer Cantata*

*Summer Aeroplane*

*Summer Blast*

*Summer Flight*

And all other things just to gain attention

These names are actually nice, but it's not enough without a pre-publicity
