I’m Amanuel. A 30 year old single male living in Addis Ababa.

I’m a professional photographer,

videographer and editor. I love street photography, capturing everyday life throughout my city. My main
motivations are my mother and music. They just keep me going in this ever competitive and harsh
world.

I grew up around computers but I’ve just recently came to know about web development and what it is
about. I’ve been thinking how I could stay relevant as a professional in this dawning age of AI
technology, and where to start from. When my sister sent me your video and having watched it, I
immediately knew this was for me. I use numbers of softwares and websites for my work. I always
wanted to know how they work, whats under the hood. I believe your course will get me there.

My strongest qualities if I have to say, would be that I don’t give up. I keep my head up even on bad
days. I always finish what I start unless its no longer possible doing so. I got my degree in civil
engineering from adama university. While working at a construction site I saved up to buy my first
camera and thought my self photography and editing. Since its my passion I chose to leave my
engineering work and do photography full time. Its harsh but I love what I do and do what I love so it
was worth it. I’ve also studied graphic design, and I believe I would make a great UI/UX designer.

If I get this scholarship opportunity it would add a great value to my work, since AI will affect every
industry this course will give me the ability to navigate in this ever growing and changing tech world.
And now is the time to do it because it is already far advanced and I’m trying to catchup. In 10 years I
will have my own production company which will utilize these technologies to its advantage and grow.
Until then I just want to learn as many relevant skills that I can.
I live on my own, provide for my self pay rent and save money to grow my business. I can not afford
1800 usd for this course. If could I would but I just cant, you know how it is here in Addis. It’s a miracle
people still afford to live here.

My work hour is very flexible since i’m a freelancer. Allocating 4 hours is possible.
