GEP 5 (Part 1)

SET 1:
I am living and studying in Ho Chi Minh City, a place
with a bustling life and crowded population. My house is
in Binh Thanh district, where many universities in the city
converge. That's why there are so many students coming
from all over, leading to the noise and bustle of traffic.
And that is the disadvantage of this place, every afternoon
after work or every morning going to school, there are
traffic jams, serious traffic jams for a long time. However,
around here there are many commercial centers for fun
and entertainment. In particular, there are countless
restaurants and cafes, there are many options for eating
and drinking in this area. Along with people with more
modern lifestyles than ever, they are friendly, hospitable
and help each other. When I first came here, my neighbors
helped me, making it easier for me to integrate into
everything. That makes me love this city more and more
every day.

SET 5:
The most useful piece of technology I have right now is
my phone. I've owned it for 3 years, it's an indispensable
item for me everywhere. It's like a miniature laptop,
extremely useful. I can not bring money or documents
out, just have a phone, which is compact and convenient
for entertainment, work or study. The phone is a multi-
purpose item when I need it. Specifically, it is used for
communication, texting, especially using the internet to
search for information, read newspapers, handle work,
check email, take notes on necessary things without
needing paper and pen... And is a useful entertainment
tool such as viewing Facebook and Instagram, Tiktok,
Youtube,... more meaningful than the phone is the place to
store every moment in pictures. Countless images and
videos are recorded, we can review them when necessary.
With the combination of compact appearance and
versatility it brings, I find it a necessity for everyone, not
just me.
SET 6:
Youtube is an online video sharing and viewing platform,
an interesting and attractive website that I often use today.
It is a quite popular website, almost everyone knows
about it. Because of the diversity of content, diverse
topics from movies, music, sharing information,
knowledge,... It can be seen that Youtube is a huge video
storage treasure, from simple videos to industrial ones.

to watch, enjoying endless entertainment. I can easily
search for videos in many different fields and topics with
just a simple search keyword, which can be used on any
device. Access to many people, cultures, and living
activities around the globe. Learn many useful things
from videos shared on Youtube, and even get inspiration
in life when necessary. Youtube is a platform that attracts
visits from all audiences at the present time, including me.

SET 8:
I am a second-year student at University of Economics
and Finance - UEF. The school has 2 campuses at Dien
Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. I
chose this place to study during my 4 years of university,
with a major in Marketing. I decided to choose it because
I realized that the learning environment is dynamic and
modern. And when I studied, I was even more impressed
with the instructors, both Vietnamese and foreigners, they
were friendly and their knowledge was always updated to
suit the times, without following a fixed framework. They
don't put pressure on me to study, always bring a
comfortable energy, combining learning and playing,
which makes me extremely impressed because it's
different from what I thought before. With only two
facilities that are not too large, the facilities and
playgrounds are never lacking for me to experience. I
always feel that the decision to choose this school was the
right one. I love UEF!
SET 9:
Finding the job you want and love is not easy. But I
always want the future to do my dream job which is to
become a KOL, a professional Influencer in the fashion
industry. I chose it because I am very interested and love
fashion and hate being in the office all day. At the same
time, I always want to share good things and beauty for
everyone around me to know, spread my influence and
change the view of the fashion industry and change the
view of the freelance Influencer profession. This job
requires a lot of skills. First of all, I have to clearly
understand my own, learn about customer groups and
fashion brands, and always update content to follow the
pace of society's changes. . Be open, approach many
relationships to have many opportunities for cooperation,
constantly learn and know how to accept opposing
opinions. I always train myself to be proactive in finding
opportunities, every day learning from KOLs on today's
social networks to adjust myself accordingly. Even though
it's difficult, I will still pursue it to the end to become a
true Influencer.

SET 8:
A: Hi! I have some question. Can I ask you?
B: Of course you can!
A: How do you think one day computers will replace
teachers in the classroom?
B: I think it will be a big challenge for students. Until
now, we have all been taught by teachers, which is the
traditional method.
- First, the level of knowledge transfer will be more
accessible, making the teaching and learning process
more effective.
- Second, teachers are endless inspirations for students.
- Third, it will be easier to manage the student's
learning process.
A: That's true, but so is the era of technological
development. So replacement by computers will be
something that happens in the future. This will make
students proactive and promote each individual's self-
study ability, know how to turn challenges into
development opportunities for themselves, and adapt to
the times.
B: Oh! But it also has disadvantages for passive people,
because if they do not absorb and change, they will lose
knowledge and gradually feel discouraged.
A: It's difficult, there are advantages and disadvantages to
this change.
B: But then we have to gradually get used to it, try and
accept it if this change happens!

A: What do you think about college students working
part-time while studying full-time?
B: Oh, that sounds quite interesting! I think this will be an
opportunity for students

your comfort zone.

personalities and perspectives, broadens the
worldview.
- Third, gain experience no matter what job you do.
A: In my opinion, students always aim to make money
and no one thinks about those things.

student life?
A: That's it, chasing money and forgetting to study leads
to reduced learning and lack of concentration. Things are
not done well, people drop out of school and are not
interested in going to school. Not only studying but also
affecting your health, staying up late, waking up early, not
taking time to take care of yourself, and limiting fun with
friends and family meetings.
B: It sounds so complicated and difficult!
A: But it will be easy and perfect if one knows how to
balance everything!

do you think is better?
B: Hmm... I think online shopping is suitable for me,
because I don't have much time to go to the store.

card or cash upon receipt of goods. Satisfy shopping
needs at any time. Just wait for the goods to be delivered
to your home.
A: Oh, that's convenient. But you will encounter a
situation where you receive fake goods that do not look
like the picture when you receive them, right?
B: Hmm... that's something that's hard to avoid. So which
way do you choose to shop?
A: I prefer shopping in stores. Because I can directly see,
touch and feel before deciding to buy them, and I want to
be consulted by the staff before deciding to buy. Not
having to waste time waiting for delivery is what I like
the most, and I can also change the product at the store if I
don't like it. However, I will not receive as many discount
codes as when shopping online.
B: But shopping in stores will be crowded. This can
become a nightmare for many people.
A: Every choice has its disadvantages, but each person
will have a different opinion.
