There is an old saying that goes, “Education is the only inheritance which nobody can take away from

you.” This old saying was never truer than when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in the country.
During school lockdowns, the teachers made adjustments in teaching and learning designs guided by the
policies implemented by the DepEd and DOH. Most of the students had difficulty complying with the learning
activities and requirements due to limited or no internet connectivity. Students still continued with their studies
despite economic and physical setbacks brought about by the pandemic. Fortunately, for the first time in
almost two years, the Philippines reopen in-person in different schools while observing minimum health
protocols.

That was an inspiring message for all of us! Before we adjourn, I would like to share this quote from
Abigail Adams the wife of the late President of the United States of America John Adams, she said
“LEARNING IS NOT ATTAINED BY CHANCE, IT MUST BE SOUGHT FOR WITH ARDOR AND
ATTENDED TO WITH DILIGENCE.”

Thank you everyone. I hope this year would be a fruitful year for all of us. Thank you for choosing
Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion as part of our child’s educational journey. Together, hand in
