1.What is the Philippine Development Plan?

- The Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 is the first medium term plan to be anchored on the 0-10-
point Socioeconomic Agenda and is geared towards the Ambisyon Natin 2040 which articulates the
Filipino people’s collective vision of a MATATAG, MAGINHAWA, AT PANATAG NA BUHAY
PARA SA LAHAT.
-According to Sir Ely of Neda Regional, 2017-2022 is updated plan. but the ongoing plan is the crafting
2023-2028. We need the Philippine development plan, and there is 3 year and 6-year plan, the 3-year plan
for the regional or LGU’S while the 6-year plan is for the national, and the purpose of this is possible
developments for the administration. and this development is for planning for the proper allocation of
budget, and for prioritizations of projects in terms of needs the most. It is like having a family on where to
start, if the house first, the car or investment, and etc.

2.How is the Public Investment Program related to the Philippine Development Plan?
- Public Investment Program (PIP) is prepare with a medium-term perspective for estimating the amount
of investible resources that become available to the government during a given period and indicating how
these are to be allocated to different sectors, sub sectors and various government agencies.
-According to Sir Ely of Neda Regional, Public Investment Program is a basis of prioritizations in
Philippine development program. The first thing is in crafting the Philippine development program then
the basis of the different forms of programs and projects is anchored to the Philippine development plan.
for example, the greater jobs are one of the part or chapter on the ongoing formulation of PDP, and the
motto of PBBM now is “Built Better More”. and under the Philippine government plan like
infrastructures projects that will attain by the government for specific plans or objectives and for its
corresponding budgets. Actually, there is no project in PDP, and Philippine development program will
stand as a Vision of a Country while the Public Investment program is on how to attain the vision of the
Government trough the programs and projects.

3.What is the counterpart of the Philippine Development Plan in the region?


-according to Sir Ely of NEDA Regional, The priority projects now of the Neda Regional are
infrastructures, Roads, Bridge, Irrigations, and dams but all those priority projects mentioned are depends
on the push of the Congressman, Governors and etc. and according to Sir Ely, even how Beautiful the
project is, it will depend on the politicians who are governing. and if the politicians want that project to be
happen, they will push it. And even budget constraints.

4. How are priority projects determined in the regional level?


-according to Sir Ely of NEDA Regional, the priority projects now of the Neda Regional are
infrastructures, Roads, Bridges, Irrigations, and dams. Below the prioritization criteria.
