Drug abuse or substance abuse refers to the use of certain chemicals for the purpose of creating
pleasurable effects on the brain. There are over 190 million drug users around the world and the
problem has been increasing at alarming rates, especially among young adults under the age of
30.Drugs are not to be taken lightly as a problem. They are something that is often taken lightly
and are taken within but is soon found to be irreparable mistakes. Drug use is mostly opted for
when you are trying to cope up in a situation where you are emotionally tired and you feel that
taking drugs would free you of the pain. This is the reason why most of the young generation falls
prey to this demon.Drug abuse is the most problematic cause of death in the world. Around
350,000 die from overdoses of smoking, drugs, and drinking as well. It is high time that we
understand the seriousness of drug abuse and stay as far as possible from it.

MORAL OF THE ROLEPLAY :

In this we tried to show that how in peer pressure students/teenager get influenced by bad this .Drugs
are chemicals that change the way a person's body or mind works. Drugs are not good for health as
they have many side effects and damage our brain, heart and other important organs. Drug is a
depressant that slows down the functions of the central nervous system. Some of the illegal drugs are
marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD, crystal meth and heroin. Drugs are consumed in different ways, by
inhaling, taking by mouth, injecting, applying on skin, and smoking. When a person is addicted to a drug,
the drug becomes so important that the person cannot manage without it.
Parents should educate their children about drugs . They should ask their kids about this.
PRESENTATION AND GROUP ETIQUETTES
What is presentation and group discussion ?

Presentation refers to the way in which something is shown, explained,

offered, etc. to people. Or presentation is that presentation is the act of
presenting while discussion is conversation or debate concerning a
particular topic.

Whereas group discussion refers to involving a number of people

who are connected by some shared activity, interest, or quality.
Group Discussion
Should there be a limit on Media Freedom ?
India is a democratic country. Media is said to be the fourth pillar of democracy so it is
a cornerstone for smooth functioning of a country. The media in India enjoys a great
deal of freedom and when it is threatened, the response is vociferous. These days the
internet has become a major source for people to easily post false information about
any particular person or event which in turn results in the formation of the wrong
mindset of all those who regularly follow social media websites like twitter and
facebook. In recent reports, it was posted that vaccination causing autism in humans
turned out to be a hoax.Freedom of speech is often misunderstood with the freedom to
say anything to anybody. Humiliating comments and abusing anybody could lead to
psychological setbacks and mental distress. This also leads to suicidal thoughts as the
person is unable to cope up with constant nagging and negativity of the other person.
Freedom of speech is meaningless unless it means the
freedom of the person who thinks differently!”, a famous
statement rightly said by Rosa Luxemburg , a powerful
German activist. Freedom of speech must be the basic right
of each and every individual of this planet but can have
reasonable restrictions and protocols. Like we always say
that too much freedom could be easily misused in the name
of law and many such cases are witnessed every day. We all
must be mindful of every statement passed by us in a way
that it doesn’t harm the sentiments of anyone. If used for the
betterment of this society, this could instill brotherhood
amongst people and bring us even closer.
Group discussion etiquettes :
1. Wear formals and be punctual as 'first expression is the last expression’ . Be confident but not
arrogant.
2. Always keep a pen and notepad to note down important point as a group discussion consists of many
people.
3. Organize your thoughts before you speak. This will help you express with confidence and clarity.
4. Pay attention while others are speaking. This will enable you contribute to the discussion in a
positive way
5.Do not to deviate yourself from the topic. Talking about unrelated things puts a bad impression. Always
stick to the point.
6.Maintain balance in your tone while countering to the points made by other participants. Avoid raising
your voice too much or shouting.
7.Respect the opinion of others .Agree and acknowledge what you find good points expressed by others
8.Do not try to dominate other participants. It is a discussion and not an argument or debate
Presentation etiquettes :
Following are the etiquettes of a presentation:
1. Arrive Early and Prepared
2. Be Respectful and Thoughtful
3. Don’t Be Too Quick To React
4. Own Your Stage and Watch Your Body language.
5. Be Prepared for the Unexpected
6. Dress well and be confident
Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
• The Thematic Apperception Test, or TAT, is a type of projective test that involves
describing ambiguous scenes. Popularly known as the "picture interpretation
technique," it was developed by American psychologists Henry A. Murray and Christina
D. Morgan at Harvard University in the 1930s.1 To date, the TAT is one of the most widely
researched and clinically used personality tests.
• The TAT involves showing people a series of picture cards depicting a variety of
ambiguous characters (that may include men, women, and/or children), scenes, and
situations.
• They are then asked to tell as dramatic a story as they can for each picture
presented, including:
• what has led up to the event shown
• what is happening in the scene
• the thoughts and feelings of characters
• the outcome of the story
Picture :
A portrait of a woman is in the foreground ;
an older woman holding her chin is in the
background.
● This is identified as one of the most useful pictures for it concerns
themes of guilt, depression, aggression, and impulsive control.

● For example, if the object is described as a gun, is it used or intended

to used for:*Intra-aggression-the subject is going to use it to damage
oneself, or Extra-aggression-the subject has used it or going to use it
to damage or harm another person.

● This picture is particularly important for depressed patients, whether

male or female, because it can reveal important dynamics regarding
the manner in which the depression developed and how it is
currently being maintained
TEAM BUILDING EXERCISES
The purpose of team building exercises are to motivate your people to work
together, to develop their strengths, and to address any weaknesses. So, any
team building exercise should encourage collaboration rather than
competition. Be sure to incorporate team building into your workplace
routines and practices.
The solution for building better teams and improving collaboration lies in
understanding the nature of the team, the kind of work they do, and the
forces at work. Uncover and understand the full range of dynamics at play to
identify what needs improving – maybe it's a team-wide lack of some
technical skill or a piercing shortage of motivation.
Recognizing what will drive your team to success is the first step in planning a
group activity.
CLUE MURDER MYSTERY
You and your colleagues can take a pause from being educators and
instead channel your inner detectives with this team building activity that
challenges you to crack the case of a deadly crime.

When a man named Neil Davidson is found murdered, it’s up to you and
your fellow teachers to break out into teams, examine clues, and review
case files as you work to determine who had the means, motive, and
opportunity to commit the crime.

This team building activity for teachers will challenge you to exercise your
problem-solving skills, think analytically, collaborate closely, and
communicate effectively.

And if your schools is one of those that will be going entirely remote this
year, this activity is also available in a fully virtual format that uses video
conferencing to host your entire team, regardless of where they’re located.
CODE BREAK
In this activity, you and your group will need to
think outside the box, exercise your
problem-solving skills, and leverage your unique
strengths in order to solve a series of puzzles,
riddles, and trivia questions.

For each challenge you solve correctly, you’ll

earn points. And whichever team has the most
points when time runs out will named winners.

The key to this activity is that you’ll need to

communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and
exercise your patience – making it a perfect
activity to help hone some of your key skills as a
teacher.
CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Crisis management is the application of strategies designed to help an
organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event.
A crisis can occur as a result of an unpredictable event or an unforeseeable
consequence of some event that had been considered as a potential risk. In
either case, crises almost invariably require that decisions be made quickly
to limit damage to the organization.

Crisis management goals

Crisis management seeks to minimize the damage a crisis causes. However,
this does not mean crisis management is the same thing as crisis response.
Instead, crisis management is a comprehensive process that is put into
practice before a crisis even happens. Crisis management practices are
engaged before, during and after a crisis.
Recovery Crisis Management V/S Risk Management
Before a crisis begins, pre-crisis planning aims to identify risks
and then find ways to mitigate or lessen those risks. It is
important to note, however, that crisis management and risk
management are two different things. Risk management
means looking for ways to minimize risks. Crisis management
involves figuring out the best way to respond when an incident
does occur. As such, risk management is an important part of
crisis management, but crisis management covers incident
response, whereas risk management usually does not.
SITUATION BASED BEHAVIOUR
AND ANALYSIS

The Situation-Behavior-Impact
method is simple and direct : You
capture and clarify the Situation,
describe the specific Behaviors
observed, and explain the Impact that
the person’s behavior had on you.
1. Situation:
Describe the specific situation in which the behavior occurred. Avoid generalities, such as “last week,” as
that can lead to confusion.
Example: “This morning at the 11 a.m. team meeting…”

2. Behavior:
Describe the actual, observable behavior. Keep to the facts. Don’t insert opinions or judgments.
Example:“You interrupted me while I was telling the team about the monthly budget,” instead of “You were rude.”

3. Impact:
Describe the results of the behavior. Because you’re describing exactly what happened and explaining your
true feelings — not passing judgment — the listener is more likely to absorb what you’re saying. If the effect
was positive, words like “happy” or “proud” help underscore the success of the behavior. If the effect of the
behavior was negative and needs to stop, you can use words such as “troubled” or “worried.”
Example:“I was impressed when you addressed that issue without being asked” or “I felt frustrated when you
interrupted me because it broke my train of thought.”
The success of Situation-Behavior-Impact is enhanced when the feedback, which is one-way, is accompanied
by an inquiry about intent, which makes the conversation two-way.
The only way to know what someone intended is
to ask them — and the only way to let a person
know their impact is to tell them.

These important conversations rarely happen,

though, and we move through our days in a
tangle of misperceptions and actions based on
incorrect assumptions.

So, how do you have conversations to find out

why a person chose to behave a certain way?
close the gap between intent and impact by
using Situation- Behavior-Impact (SBI)
WRITING LETTERS AND EMAILS
1. Begin with a greeting
Always open your email with a greeting, such as “Dear Lillian”. If your relationship with the reader is
formal, use their family name (eg. “Dear Mrs. Price”). If the relationship is more casual, you can simply say,
“Hi Kelly”. If you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to, use: “To whom it may concern” or
“Dear Sir/Madam”.

2. Thank the recipient

If you are replying to a client’s inquiry, you should begin with a line of thanks. For example, if someone has
a question about your company, you can say, “Thank you for contacting ABC Company”. If someone has
replied to one of your emails, be sure to say, “Thank you for your prompt reply” or “Thanks for getting
back to me”. Thanking the reader puts him or her at ease, and it will make you appear more polite.

3. State your purpose

If you are starting the email communication, it may be impossible to include a line of thanks. Instead,
begin by stating your purpose. For example, “I am writing to enquire about …” or “I am writing in
reference to …”.
4. Add your closing remarks
Before you end your email, it’s polite to thank your reader one more time and add
some polite closing remarks. You might start with “Thank you for your patience
and cooperation” or “Thank you for your consideration” and then follow up
with, “If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to let me
know” and “I look forward to hearing from you”.

5. End with a closing

The last step is to include an appropriate closing with your name. “Best
regards”, “Sincerely”, and “Thank you” are all professional. Avoid closings such
as “Best wishes” or “Cheers” unless you are good friends with the reader. Finally,
before you hit the send button, review and spell check your email one more time to
make sure it’s truly perfect!

MOCK INTERVIEW
A mock interview, also known as a
practice interview, is a simulation of an
actual job interview. It provides job
seekers with an opportunity to practice
for an interview and receive feedback on
their interviewing skills.
Mock interviews are an ideal way to
practice for real job interviews because
you are in a situation that mirrors an actual
interview with a company. When you
review your interview with the
interviewer, you'll be able to modify your
responses and interview behavior, if
necessary.
How to Prepare for a Mock Interview :
● Be sure to take your mock interview as seriously as you would an actual interview.
Get ready for the interview just as you would for an interview with a hiring
manager
● Arrive 10 - 15 minutes early, and bring your resume and any other materials
you would bring to a real interview.
● Bring a notebook to take notes on what your mock interviewer tells you.
● Dress in professional interview attire.
● Be sure all your technology is in working order when you're participating
in a video interview.
● Benefits of Practice Interviews
● Practice interviews familiarize users with the interview process and allow users
to practice answering common interview questions with confidence.Video
practice interviews are particularly helpful in that you can review not only your
answers, but your body language, eye contact, and interview attire.
PROFESSIONAL RESUME WRITING
A resume is a document that you—the jobseeker—uses to promote your skills,
abilities, and knowledge to a potential employer. It uses your past experiences and
accomplishments to position you for future opportunities. From an employer’s
perspective, resumes are used to identify qualified candidates to invite to an
interview. Resumes do not generate job offers, but well written resumes-do
facilitate interviews. They are a marketing tool. The resume is important, but just
one of several steps that make up a successful job search.

• Step 1: Make a list of your various activities over the years.

• Step 2: Write a paragraph about each important item in your list.
• Step 3: Pick the items that you will highlight or emphasize on your resume.
• Step 4: Create the sections of your resume.
• Step 5: Format your resume.

PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT
Portfolio development is the process by which a student documents and
demonstrates college-level competencies (knowledge and skills) acquired
in environments and agencies outside the traditional higher education
classroom. In essence, it is evidence that the student has met learning
outcomes or objectives equivalent to specific university courses.
Knowledge and skills gained through work, training, or life experiences
may translate to college credit if students can document and
demonstrate comprehension of learning outcomes and objectives
equivalent to our courses. Students must be able to demonstrate at
least 70% knowledge of learning outcomes or objectives of a related
college course, which most often includes theoretical or conceptual
knowledge as well as application of subject-specific principles.
Developing a portfolio is a research-intensive, writing-intensive
process. Students should expect to spend 4-6 months to
construct the portfolio.
An additional 2-4 months may be anticipated for the review and
evaluation process. Subsequent revisions and resubmissions may
be necessary if the faculty member evaluating the portfolio
requests additional information or clarification.
CONCLUSION
I understand through this project and it helped
me in getting better understanding of
personality and enhancing my skills. While
making this I realized what qualities i lack and
learnt how to channel them. This brought a
qualitative change in my performance and
improved my overall personality.
