Simulation Rounds 1 and 2

Please upload your document into Canvas. Bring a hard copy to class to share your responses.
Full credit is earned for insightful responses. Half credit is earned for half answering questions
by being vague and lacking reflection. Use the results from your posts for each round.

ROUND 1 (organic)

What was your strategy for this round? Are you happy with your achievements, and why?

How many new followers (page likes) did you gain on Facebook?
How many impressions did you get on Twitter?
How many total reactions and comments did your posts get on Facebook?
How many total shares did your posts get on Facebook?
How many conversions did you get in total?
What was your total revenue?

How would you go about comparing metrics from different platforms? Use comparisons in your
explanation using your results.

Moving forward, you may want to consider creating a spreadsheet to record your posts’
information and what you used. It may help you later. What would you track? This is a strong
hint.

ROUND 2 (organic)
What was your strategy for this round?

Which metrics do you rank best for and why?

Which metrics do you need to improve?

Why did these metrics show an underperformance?

Which metrics drive awareness?

Hint: look inside the box at the top of the analytics page titled “awareness”
Which metrics drive revenue?

What differences do you notice when looking at your posts and how they performed on each
platform? If you used the same post across different platforms, did you get the results needed?
Or maybe you duplicated a post using different days and times? Did changing times and days
make a difference?
impressions
engagements
clicks
cost-per-click
shares
new followers
conversions
Keep in mind that the budget you used to promote a post will have an effect on these numbers.

You just complete two rounds with the focus on organic posts, and round three’s focus is organic
again. What will you do differently (new strategy) after seeing your results from rounds one and
two?
