CorruptioN
The menace of corruption has been significant threat to country’s very existence.it has hampered the
country’s socio economic development and has shaken the peoples trust in public offices. According to
transparency international, the country is currently at 140 out of 180 countries. For this reason
challenge’s faced by country is political instability, monopoly of institutions, lack of transparency
and weak legal system have contribute to make situation worse Moreover, corruption, being the mother
of all evil, gives rise to multiple problems including nepotism, favoritism and negation of meritocracy,
transparency and accountability towards national issues are all the results of corruption which are root
cause of all evils . The poor are sidelined, the rich are offered, the needy are ovelooked and the affluent
are delivered. . It persists due to bad governance and current sociocultural norms.
poor governance is another cause of corruption in Pakistan. There is no concept of rule of law and only
rule of individual is ubiquitous. This is the poor governance which leads to the acquittal of many culprits.

Democracy
The first challenge Pakistan is facing is failure of democracy in Pakistan.
Weak democracy is hampering pakistans progress. Since its first day of independence, Pakistan has
faced many challenges to establish a true democratic system. There are many factors which are the
cause of failure of democracy in Pakistan. Constitution was delayed often. Incompetent and corrupt
politicians have ruined the democracy. There were weak and poverty stricken civil society. There was
feudalism, leadership crises, lack of education, weak political parties, delayed elections, corruption and
nepotism, terrorism and extremism.

Poverty has been one of the main challenges in Pakistan in 2st century .
Poverty and Illiteracy are the main hindrance to the developmental process of country. Poverty is
because of illiteracy. Poverty and illiteracy are indeed the curse on human race.
according to research report of social policy and development center, 38 % of population is living in
poverty. Many factors are responsible for this but poor governance is main culprit. Low business
confidence on the government institutions , massive debt , unemployment, no foreign investments, and
low GDP led to worsening of economic conditions.it can be concluded, without controlling the root
causes, it’s impossible to eradicate the poverty in Pakistan. The first connection between literacy and
poverty is when poor man is not able to afford education. Then he is compelled to send his children to
work. It’s the basic cause of child labor. Poverty is the fundamental cause of all social evils. It is the main
cause of illiteracy across the world it is the major cause of suicide rates.it leads to criminal activities like
robbery, theft. These are harmful to individual and society. In rural areas, schools are without furniture,
and sometimes without teachers.
Unemployment means not having enough jobs to employ the unemployed. Unemployment is the
mother of countless evils. It pollutes the society and wrecks the political fabric of the county. It turns the
law-abiding and honest men into criminals and dacoits. It is difficult to expect truth, nobility and honesty
from a person who cannot have two square meals a day, and who cannot provide a morsel of food or a
dose of medicine to his sick wife or ailing children. A long spell of poverty and unemployment is a great
menace to the state.

Pakistan's sovereignty is being threatened by the war on terrorism. Terrorist attacks are mostly caused
by Pakistan's participation in the Soviet War. Numerous locations, including educational institutions,
religious sites, markets, and hotels, have been assaulted by terrorists. On the global terrorism index,
Pakistan is placed third. Pakistan faces challenges related to its development policies, including brain
drain, unemployment, poverty, and religious minorities. The fear of violence is another effect of
terrorism. Many people are going to other countries because of the terror attacks.

The overpopulation crisis has led the country to the brink of an economic explosion. According to UN
report, due to high birth rate , its population is expected to rise to 400 million by 2050, doubling its
number. major reasons of population include a lack of knowledge about family planning, a high fertility
rate, polygamy, technology improvements that have led to additional issues that are connected, and the
government's ineffective population plans. As a result, Pakistan is experiencing a variety of issues,
including dwindling resources, rising poverty, sluggish economic expansion, and rising corruption and
crime.
Nothing wipes out serious development so suddenly as a natural disaster.
One of the nations with the highest risk of natural disasters is Pakistan. often categorised as either
natural or man-made. Pakistan is well acquainted with disasters that have taken a high human and
material toll.
Pakistan faces many natural disasters like flood, earthquakes, depletion of glaciers, smog, and climate
change regularly. Human innervation in nature by cutting trees and building a larger no of embankments
has led to climate change and global warming. These disasters not only drain the country financially but
also result in casualties. Nothing wipes out serious development so suddenly as a natural disast

Another solution Pakistan must make a few crucial decisions in order to provide its children with the
future they deserve. Pakistan may accelerate and promote development to become a guaranteed upper
middle pay when it becomes 100 if the country can make the best decisions now. Although aggressive, it
is plausible. There isn't a compelling argument as to why Pakistan can't develop its economy in the same
way as other countries like South Korea, China, and Malaysia have in recent years. Efforts to increase the
expense net and support the charge organisation will always increase income charges without increasing
the burden on people who are already paying taxes. The competitive environment in the nation should
be improved through an improved business climate, more openness to interchange and venture, and
improvements. when Pakistan thinks back in 2047 when it turns 100 years of age, it sees the years in
front of us as the years that empowered a splendid future
Another remedy is to that there is necessary institutions; reforms to restore good governance:
a. Strong parliament
b. Rule of law and prevention of institutional militant
d. De-politicization of administration
e. enforcement of law and accountability
f. Public-private partnership
g. civil-military relations

Overcome poverty.
There are many solutions to overcome poverty in Pakistan .poverty is the mother of all ills.. poverty can
be rectified through good governance, vigorous economic growth and industrialization in country.
Pakistan has to abolish feudalism. Government has to increase education budget and provide quality
education. Government should also maintain law and order situation for protecting the economic
activities. Meritocracy must be in all spheres of life, more job opportunities will be there. Government
should control economic indicators and inflation. By these solution poverty will be overcome and
Pakistan will be the having no poverty country by 2047.

The dark clouds of unemployment can be removed by rapid development..

The first is eliminating the unemployment which is the biggest problem in Pakistani society. The growing
population is the major cause of many socio economic problems. Government should announce the
economic revival package. The employment opportunities in the agricultural sector may be increased
through the construction of major and minor irrigation projects, expansion and development of
plantations, intensive agriculture, and horticulture. Unutilized land may be brought under cultivation.
There should be rapid industrialization to eliminate the unemployment by 2047.

Pakistan has to improve its economy for being the developed country in the world. Agriculture's role
in Pakistan's economy is paramount. It’s the major source of foreign exchanges through export. Role
of industries is also crucial for Pakistan development. Pakistan can prosper by reducing imports and
exports. Pakistan has to explore the natural resources. There should be institutional and infrastructural
reforms.Governemnt should invest in human capital and technology. Pakistan has to avoid loan aid like
IMF. This aspiration is possible by the government efforts. Then Pakistan’s economy will be the
knowledge based and innovation driven by 2047.

Corruption can be eradicated by implementing comprehensive reform policies. First of all, there
should be good governance which includes efficient administration, strong regulatory authorities.
Second there is check and balance of institution. Thirdly, increases in salaries of government employees.
Fourthly, Meritocracy should be ensured instead of red tapism. Transparency must be enhanced and
also implementing law in its true letter and spirit. Rule of law must be ensured. Additionally, people's
rights and responsibilities should be made clear to them through education.finally, public rules ought to
be formulated on equity and merit. For example, the development of revenue-generating sectors
should be prioritized. Then Pakistan will be corruption free country by 2047.

Pakistan needs to take steps for improvement of health sector. First of all, there should be good
governance progamme in health sector. Corruption should be controlled in health sector and
transparency should be ensured. There should be well-trained and motivated healthcare workers
in the hospital. Hospitals, healthcare facilities, water, power, sanitation, hand hygiene, and
waste disposal centers require a suitable physical environment, all of which must be
convenient, reliable, and safe. Infrastructure is a key factor in achieving our primary goal of
improving the quality of care and well-being of all patients. Pakistan should spend more money
on medical research. Improving medical, nursing and technical training and qualifications of the
existing workforce. then Pakistan will be affordable world health care by 2047.

We must take strict measures as soon as possible to improve Pakistan's education system.
The focus should be on implementation rather than strategy planning. Other countries have
adopted the LSS system. This should be introduced into schools in Pakistan to enhance the
hidden qualities of children.Government must Increase education budget up to 7 % of GDP. Updated
and research-based curriculum must be taught in educational institutes.Government should introduce
Effective educational policies and Promoting research culture. Madrassa reforms should be introduced.
English should be medium of Instruction. Government should provide Scholarships and financial support
to students. If we follow these steps, we will have the 100% literacy rate and we will have advance
education system by 2047.
The development of science and technology in developing countries plays an important role in
reforming poverty levels, and technological progress can be seen as an engine of growth. A
university should be headed by a scientist who has worked for several years in an
internationally recognized research center. Many software-based research areas have many
research opportunities that do not require large investments. For example, research and
development on scientific software development, research on artificial intelligence and machine
learning. The government needs to implement the academic research, innovations, and methods in
the education field. The government has to establish research centres. Countries such as South
Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia were once seen as countries with bad policies,
undisciplined, and lacking progress, but today they are making waves in the field of research
and exploration around the world.. Then Pakistan will be excel in science and technology fully by
2047.

Vision for Pakistan

We are conscious of the fact that socio-economic development is essential for future Pakistan. We are
determined to build on the sustained economic growth, political stability and peaceful environment that
we have been able to achieve. Pakistan needs to keep in step with global trends that are being shaped
largely by economic forces.
We want to build Pakistan into a dynamic economy of our region with modernized agriculture, industry,
sound education base and advancement in science and technology.
We are reorientating our policies, cognizant of globalization, and taking advantage of our strategic
location at the crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia. Geography has endowed us with
unique potential to become the hub of economic activity in our region.
We would like to see the regional groupings of SAARC and the ECO, to which we belong, become
effective. At the last SAARC summit in Islamabad, we took the initiative to conclude an agreement for a
free trade arrangement in South Asia. We have offered energy corridor to India. Gas pipelines from Iran,
Qatar and Turkmenistan to Pakistan on to India are under active consideration. We are developing roads
and infrastructure linkages to provide Central Asia the shortest access to the sea. The construction of
Gwadar Port is an important landmark in that direction. The ECO states signed in Islamabad in 2003 a
trade agreement for reduction in tariffs for intra-regional trade.
We favour economic integration of the various sub-regions of Asia. This was the theme of the Asia
Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting held in Islamabad last April. We look forward to an era of
shared prosperity for all regions and all societies.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Pakistan pursues peace and development in the region and friendship and cooperation in its foreign
relations. With the United States we have forged a stable durable cooperative relationship. We are allies
in the war on terrorism and Washington recently declared Pakistan a major Non-NATO Ally. China has
been a close reliable friend of long standing with whom we have signed an important Treaty of
Friendship, Cooperation and Good Neighbourly Relations that exemplifies strong bilateral relations. Our
strategic partnership with China has been an important factor of peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan’s relations with countries of the European Union, Russia and Japan are cordial and steadily
expanding. We have security dialogues with most of these countries. Our close fraternal cooperation
with the Islamic world is deeply rooted in bonds of common culture and faith. Pakistan is recognized
especially by the GCC countries as a factor of stability and security in the region.
Our policy of Vision East Asia is aimed at strengthening our relations with Southeast Asia and others
Asia-Pacific nations. My visit to Australia and later to New Zealand is an extension of that policy. I am
sure that the visit will help to reinvigorate bilateral cooperation especially in the economic field and
engage the interest of Australian businesses and entrepreneurs in Pakistan. Today’s Pakistan is a country
of opportunity and promise.
