As an individual we know that security is very crucial. Everybody wants security. Good security means
freedom from wants and freedom from fear. For employees earning low income the best insurance for you and
your family’s future is the Social Security System, as it provides programs and services to all Filipinos both those
who live in the Philippines and those who live overseas. So how does Social Security System (SSS) actually
work? Are all the business tools really effective in generating and building the whole organization of SSS? Well

The Social Security System (SSS) is a government-run social insurance program for workers in the private,
professional and informal sectors. According to the Social Security Act of 1997, this requires all businesses to
provide social insurance for their employees. This act, signed RA 8282, provides better benefits packages,

you. Each SSS member has their own unique SSS number and the SSS uses that number to keep records of your
membership, personal information, contributions, loans and benefits, among others. Once you are a member you
will also have you SSS id as your valid ID. And with your SSS number and membership, you can apply for and
avail of social security benefits in case of retirement, maternity, sickness, disability or death. It is required when
dealing with the SSS, whether in the SSS office or on their website. It is often required when applying for a new
job or opening a bank account. Other government agencies may also ask for your SSS number when you transact
with them. That is why it’s advisable to save, copy or remember your SSS number as you will need it for many
personal and business transactions. If you have concerns about your SSS account you can email them on their
SSS email address or text call them in their SSS Hotline Customer Service or if you want you can go directly to
SSS office. Yes, you can visit the SSS office directly however, one of the SSS online Services is the appointment
system, which allows you to schedule a visit to any SSS branch for SSS-related questions and issues. You can
save time and avoid long lines at the SSS branch by scheduling an appointment online so it is more convenient.
