Integrated Fisheries Development Scheme

Telangana Government have started the prestigious programme (Integrated Fisheries


Development Scheme ) to enhance the economic standards of the poor fishermen of the
state. Under this scheme there are 21 components which will help the poor fishermen by
giving the assets i.e. Mopeds, Nets, Luggage Autos etc.. to improve the livelihood of the
fishermen in the District. For this 34.16 Crores spent on various components which given
to the eligible beneficiaries under IFDS

Other innovative Projects (Bio Flock) under IFDS (Integrated Fisheries Development
Scheme) :

Bio Floc technology is one of the innovative techniques used in fish farming which results
in great production of fishes and this technology coust result in higher productivity with
less impact to the environment.
