According to Domínguez (2009) University Social Responsibility (USR) is defined as the

intelligent and also ethical management of all the impacts originated by the organization in its
social, natural and also human environment.

USR is very important for university life because it contributes to the well-being and
sustainable development of society as a whole. In addition, it commits the university
community to develop positive activities for the university and its environment.

The RSU carries out in the different areas of the institutions the projects of social promotion of
the principles of ethics and also of sustainable and also equitable social development, to be
able to execute the transmission and production of the formation of diverse professionals with
responsibility and also of the responsible knowledge.

The RSU manages initiatives in the university students with the objective of being able to
respond to some situations that are problematic with ethics and also democratic values. The
students develop creative abilities by searching for adequate solutions and also behaviors that
are solidary and committed to the service to society.
La Responsabilidad Social Universitaria tiene un papel muy importante en todas las
universidades porque es responsable de la gestión eficiente y también transparente de la
formación de todos los profesionales socialmente responsables y competentes, de los recursos
que le confía la población y también de las contribuciones prácticas, reflexivas y propositivas.

Algunas prioridades de las universidades frente a la RSU son poder permitir que el compromiso

formación, investigación, extensión y también gestión con las demandas educativas, científicas
y profesionales que buscan un buen desarrollo global y local más sostenible y justo.

La RSU es muy importante para la vida universitaria porque contribuye al bienestar y al

La RSU lleva a cabo en las diferentes áreas de las instituciones los proyectos de promoción
social de los principios de la ética y también del desarrollo social sostenible y también
equitativo, para poder ejecutar la transmisión y producción de la formación de diversos
profesionales con responsabilidad y también del conocimiento responsable.

La RSU gestiona iniciativas en los estudiantes universitarios con el objetivo de poder responder
a algunas situaciones problemáticas con ética y también valores democráticos. Los estudiantes
desarrollan habilidades creativas buscando soluciones adecuadas y también comportamientos
solidarios y comprometidos con el servicio a la sociedad.
