TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE IS A STRATEGY IN WHICH STUDENTS MAKE


CONNECTIONS TO WORDS, PHRASES, AND SENTENCES BY CREATING
PHYSICAL MOVEMENTS TO DEFINE THEM. TPR IS A WAY TO PHYSICALLY
INTERACT WITH LANGUAGE AND TO SOLIDIFY AND DEMONSTRATE
COMPREHENSION

THE TEACHER PLAYS AN ACTIVE AND DIRECT ROLE IN TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE. "THE
INSTRUCTOR IS THE DIRECTOR OF A STAGE PLAY IN WHICH THE STUDENTS ARE THE ACTORS".
IT IS THE TEACHER WHO DECIDES WHAT TO TEACH, WHO MODELS AND PRESENTS THE NEW
MATERIALS, AND WHO SELECTS SUPPORTING MATERIALS FOR CLASSROOM USE.

·THE TEACHER IS ENCOURAGED TO BE WELL PRE­P ARED AND WELL ORGANIZED SO

THROUGH PHYSICAL ACTIONS AND COMMANDS, AND THE STUDENTS
ACTIVELY RESPONDING AND INTERNALIZING THE LANGUAGE THROUGH
MOVEMENT. IT LEVERAGES THE NATURAL LINK BETWEEN PHYSICAL ACTION
AND LANGUAGE COMPREHENSION TO CREATE A STIMULATING AND
EFFECTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

LEARNING. IT RECOGNIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES
AND ENCOURAGES EDUCATORS TO TAILOR INSTRUCTION TO MEET THE
DIVERSE NEEDS OF STUDENTS. THIS APPROACH AIMS TO FOSTER THE
DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES, NURTURING STUDENTS'
STRENGTHS WHILE ALSO HELPING THEM GROW IN AREAS WHERE THEY MAY
HAVE LESS NATURAL APTITUDE.

SUGGESTOPEDIA IS A TEACHING METHODOLOGY THAT FOCUSES ON
BOTH THE TEACHING CONTENT AND THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT,
FACILITATING THE CREATION OF A SUGGESTIVE CLIMATE FOR LEARNING.

ROLE OF THE TEACHER: TRAINED TEACHERS MUST USE VARIOUS TECHNIQUES,


INCLUDING ART AND MUSIC, FOCUSED ON MEDITATION AND RELAXATION PROGRAMS, THEY

CHILDREN FROM ZERO TO SIX YEARS OLD WHO ONLY HAVE TO LEARN BY PLAYING.
