BONAGUA, CESO Il}, Director r SUBJECT : COMPLIANCE WITH PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE NO. 2020-156 ON DELAYED PROCESSING OF LOCAL PERMIT APPLICATIONS DATE : 07 August 2020 Pursuant to the Presidential Directive No. 2020-156 titled “Conduct of Audit and Imposition of Disciplinary Action Against Local Government Officials for Delayed Processing of Local Permit Applications”, President Rodrigo R. Duterte conveyed the reported setbacks in the improvement of telecommunications services specifically the pending applications in the issuance of permits for the construction of cell towers. With this, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through its Regional offices was tasked to conduct an audit of LGUs with pending local permit applications for more than two (2) months. This was embodied in DILG Advisory dated August 06, 2020 regarding the compliance of LGUs with Joint Memorandum Circular on Shared Passive Telecommunications Tower Infrastructures (PTTIs). To monitor compliance, we would like to request assistance from your respective regions to require LGUs to submit a report not later than August 10, 2020 on the following: 1. For approved applications for the Permits, Clearances and Certifications for the construction of the Shared PassiveTelecommunication Towers Infrastructure (PTTIs), kindly access this link: https://bit.ly/31u6Gwe 2.
