SUBJECT : SANGGUNIAN MEMBER ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST OF SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

ln accordance with Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 1300486,

promulgated on March 6, 2013 and circularized through CSC Memorandum Circular No.
12, s. 2013 dated May 31, 2013, the SME is granted effeclive May 1 , 2013 to the
following Sanggunian Members, who have been elected afler the effectivity of the Local
Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160) or on May 1 1 , 1992 onwards:

a. Vice Mayor, as presiding officer for the Sangguniang Bayan or Sangguniang

Panlungsod;
b. Vice Govemor, as presiding officer for the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; and
c. Regular Sanggunian Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Sangguniang Panlungsod
and Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

For the Grant of Eligibility for Elected Officials, the following are the specific
requirements for submission to the Civil Service Commission-Regional Office "l:

1. For applicant who is a baccalaureate/bachelo/s degree holder,

original/authenticated and photocopy of Transcnpt of Record; ,

2. For Sanggunian Member First Level Eligibility applicant who is not a

baccalaureate/bachelo/s degree holder, cerlification on the number of units
eamed and lhe baccalaureatelbachelo/s degree being/has pursued duly signed
by authorized official/registrar of the university/collegel

3. Original/Authenticated Master List of qualified Sanggunian Members issued by

the DILGl

4. Certification of services rendered by the Sanggunian Member duly signed by

authorized DILG official at the regional level where he/she has served as
Sanggunian Member (Use CSC SME Form 1 , March 2013);

5. Other documents as may be deemed necessary by the CSC in verifying

authenticity of information supplied by the applicant.
