and how to eat, parenting and good sanitation. Before that, are you willing for me to
ask for 60 minutes of your time?

 Work steps :
1. The first 10 minutes explain about stunting
Stunting is a condition in which a child experiences a growth disorder which
causes his length or height to not grow according to his potential. In general,
stunting is caused by inadequate nutrition. This condition can occur when the
fetus is still in the womb until it continues after the baby is born, especially in the
first 2 years after birth.

2. The second 10 minutes explains the characteristics of stunting

a) Has a shorter body than his age
b) Weight does not increase, even tends to decrease
c) Experiencing developmental delays according to his age
d) Children become more susceptible to various infectious diseases
e) Having intellectual impairment later in life

3. The next 10 minutes explain the factors that cause stunting

a) Socioeconomic condition of the family
b) Malnutrition for a long time.
c) Parenting is less effective.
d) Dietary habit.
e) Mental disorders and hypertension in the mother.
f) Recurrent infections.
g) Sanitary factor.

4. The next 10 minutes explain how to prevent

a) Give exclusive breastfeeding to babies up to 6 months old
b) Monitor children's development and bring them to posyandu regularly
c) Consuming Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) regularly
d) Provide complementary foods that are nutritious and rich in animal protein for
babies over 6 months old

5. The next 10 minutes explain good diet and parenting

 In one meal portion, half of the plate is filled with vegetables and fruit, the
other half is filled with protein sources (both vegetable and animal) with a
higher proportion than carbohydrates.
 Stunting is also influenced by behavioral aspects, especially in parenting
patterns that are not good in feeding practices for infants and toddlers.

6. The last 10 minutes are for the question and answer session

Termination :

- The meeting is sufficient to be held once because the community already understands
and is able to explain all objectives, especially for pregnant women. The meeting was
stopped.
Evaluation :

- The community is able to explain and mention specific goals and understand how to
prevent stunting.
