 Pengertian

Question tags, atau bisa disebut dengan pertanyaan singkat dalam bahasa Indonesia,
adalah sebuah pertanyaan pendek yang diletakkan di akhir kalimat untuk meminta
informasi, persetujuan, atau penjelasan. Dalam bahasa Indonesia, question tags
setara dengan “bukan”, “kan”, dan “iya kan”, seperti pada kalimat, “Kamu sudah
mengerjakannya, bukan/kan/iya kan?”
 Contoh

Clara is a nurse, isn’t she? Clara seorang pewarat, bukan?

We ever talked about it, didn’t we? Kita pernah membahasnya, kan?
They have not come, have they? Mereka belum datang, iya kan?

Dari contoh di atas dapat dilihat bahwa question tags digunakan untuk meminta informasi,
persetujuan, atau penjelasan.
