AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OD

CHILDREN (BCPC) OF BARANGAY KIBUCAY UPI, MAGUINDNAO.

WHEREAS, republic Act 7160 otherwise known as Government code of 1991 provides
the organization of the BARANGAY COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (BCPC)
in all level of LGU’S.

WHEREAS, there need to reconized the Barangay council for the protection of children
required By DILG.

NOW WHEREFORE, by the powers vested in me as Punong Barangay of Kibucay Upi,

Maguindanao, hereby order.

Section 1. COMPOSITION: the Barangay council for the protection of children to be

composed of the following.
Chairman :Punong Barangay : EVELYN A. LINTO
Members :youth Rep. : JASTIL D. ANGI
DSWD rep. : DIVINA LIANG
DCW rep. : MERY LEDENA CARIAGA
BNS : CHERLYN ROMUAR
 Public schools Principal or rep : EDITHA P. OLVIDO
Rural Health Midwife : MAAM: ALABA
PTA/ School President : MARLON ARANAS
Barangay Secretary : MICHAEL C. MONTOYA
NGO/Fishermen President Rep : MARLON SEVERO

Section 2. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: the Barangay Council for the protection of Children
Shall:
1. Foster the education of every child in the Barangay;
2. Encourage proper performance of duties of perents;
3. Protect and assist abandoned and maltreated children;
4. Take step to prevent juvenile delinquency and assist parents of children with
behavioral problems;
5. Adopt measures for the health of children;
6. Promote opening and play grounds and day car centers and other services
necessary for child and youth welfare;
7. Coordinate the activities of organizations devoted to the welfare of children and
secure their cooperation;
8. Promote wholesome entertainment in the community, especially in movie
house;
9. Assist parents whenever necessary in securing expert guidance counselling from
proper government or private agency.

Section 3. EFFECTIVITY: this order shall take immediately.
