"Quick! Quick! Get in the jeep now!" Steve alerted Douglas indicating there was
no time to waste. Along with their jeep driver, they attempted to flee the scene.
The 3 men knew they were on a lucky streak that day. It's not an everyday day
where you make it out alive with a mother rhino hounding you.

Photographer Steve Winter and Writer Douglas Chadwick had joined forces to
document a story on rhinos in Kaziranga National Park situated in India. Both men
commenced their journey to the park with their equipment. Just a few kilometres
into the park, they were greeted by 3 baby rhinos on the road. Thinking no harm,
both men got down the jeep and started their filming. Only if the men knew the
danger that was awaiting them.

Just as the filming was coming to an end, the men were greeted by heavy footsteps
behind the dark lurking trees. It was a mother rhino! The mother rhino launched
itself at their jeep trying to push it off the road. Both men started shivering in fear
knowing they were doomed. Without giving it a second thought, they made a break
for it. Even though, their filming was interrupted the men were still able to gather
enough information about rhinos based on their encounter. With this, they were
able to share the cunning nature of rhinos and their love for their young.
