PRESENT PERFECT

It is a mix between the present and the past, we use it for past actions that matter in the
present.
It is formed by combining a help verb ("have" or "has") with the past participle.
Form:
Subject + have/has + past participle + complement.
AFFIRMATIVE
Example: She has sung at concerts.

Have/has + subject + past participle + complement + ?


INTERROGATIVE Example: Has she sung at concerts?

Subject + have/has + not + past participle+ complement.


NEGATIVE Example: She has not sung at concerts.

Is used to describe:
 An action or situation started in the past and continues in the present.
- I have lived in Chiclayo for almost 1 year.
- She has worked at the supermarket for three years.

 An action performed for a period of time not yet completed.


- We haven't seen it today.
- It has rained a lot this month.

 An action repeated in a non-specific period of time located between the past and the
present.
- We have eaten at that restaurant many times.
- Ya ha sucedido varias veces.

 An action that has concluded in the very recent past.


- I have just eaten.
- Has she just left?

Expressions:

They have just done a homework.


JUST
Ana has just washed the dishes
Sari has already washed the clothes.
ALREADY
We have already signed the contract.

YET She hasn’t returned from lunch yet.


Have you gotten a new motorcycle yet? 

I have looked everywhere for the keys.


FOR
He has cooked something special for me.

I have not seen her since February.


SINCE
He has worked at bank since January.
