Overview
During weeks two and three you established your weekly study pace and identified some
health and wellness goals. Now what? A plan without action isn’t going to get you very far.
There will be obstacles that get in your way. This week you will identify some potential
obstacles to maintaining your study pace and wellness goals as well as possible solutions
for overcoming those obstacles.
Pacing Obstacles
1. My new call is time demanding and requires more preparation, also I have meetings
on Tuesdays every week which is an important day to complete assignments.
● I will study only 1 hour after the meeting.
● I will take 2 hours on Saturdays to study and complete assignments.
2. Low study speed, I realized that assignments that should take 1 or 2 hours for me
takes 3 or 4 hours.
● I will practice previewing technique on each assignment
● I will investigate more student techniques to speed up my reading and learning.

● We will add some food supplements to our diet like vitamin D, C, or some vitamin
complexes in order to add energy during the day.

Step 3 - Reflect
Answer the following:
You just finished the process of identifying obstacles and solutions. Explain at least two ways
this process can help you achieve academic success as a student.
The main pacing obstacles at the moment are two; the new time demanding call and
my reading and learning low speed. I believe that I will discover very interesting solutions
with the time. But for now, I will start to re-schedule my time as I mention above, and
learning and practicing techniques like “previewing” to speed up my learning processes.
Secondly, the obstacles regarding my health and wellness also are two important ones, a
continuous severe headache and tiredness; It can be as consequence of stress and bad
nutrition, changing the diet as I mention before would provide the necessary nutrients that
my body requires as student and will fuel my speed, reduce my tiredness and significantly
will highly improve my academic success.
