Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma Course on ‘Tea
Production Technology & Smart Management’ for the Academic Session 2022-2023

Intake Capacity : 25
Duration of the Diploma Course : 1 (one) year, April, 2022 to March, 2023
Eligibility for Admission: Graduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to Science graduates and with other
relevant qualification. Maximum age 30 years.

Reservation of Seats : As per specified norms of Assam Agricultural University.

Objective of Programmes :
Capacity building of graduates for employment in tea industry
Implementing Department :
Tea Husbandry & Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam.
Method of Selection :
Selection of candidates for admission will be on merit and personal interview.
Accommodation:
The University will not provide accommodation facilities to the students getting admitted into the Post graduate
Diploma Course on Tea Production Technology & Smart Management. The students have to make their own
arrangement for accommodation.
Evaluation:
Evaluation of a student will be on the basis of his/her performance in Mid-term examination, End-term
examination, presentation, home assignments, field visits, garden training and project work to be carried out by
him/her during the course of study.

Award of Certificate :
On successful completion of the courses, student will be awarded a Certificate from the University.
Course Fee :
Assam : Rs.50,000.00 per participant
Application Procedure :
Download the Application Form along with the copy of the prescribed Bank Challan from the Assam
Agricultural University website (www.aau.ac.in) and fill up information carefully.
Deposit Rs. 100.00 as application fees in any branch of State Bank of India using the prescribed Bank
Challan through online mode (Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card etc.).
Submit the filled in Application Form accompanied by attested copies of all relevant documents and Fee
Deposit receipt on or before last date.
The candidates shall have to produce the following documents in original at the time of admission
1. Two copies of recent passport size photographs
2. Original Permanent Residential Certificate
3. Original Caste Certificate (Where applicable)
4. Origal copies of mark sheets and certificates from HSLC onwards
5. Self attested copies of all testimonials
