There are two main types of questions in English: yes/no questions and questions with
question words. Yes/no questions are questions that you can answer with yes or no. To
form a yes/no question with the verb be put the correct form of be before the subject.

Questions with question words ask for information about a thing (what), person (who),
time (when), place (where), reason (why), and process or quality (how). The form is
question word + am/is/are + subject. You can shorten is to 's.
