2900925 - Drivers to be Used When You Are Connecting to the ODBC Data Source From Crystal Reports Designer

Symptom
In SAP Crystal Reports Designer of the following applications, when you are connecting to the ODBC data source, you can only use the B1CRHPROXY32 and HDBODBC32 drivers
for releases before FP 2202, while the B1CRHPROXY and HDBODBC drivers for releases FP 2202 or higher:

SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA


SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA

Reproducing the issue


Prerequisites:

For the following situations, you need to perform additional actions to use the drivers on your computer.

For SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA, if you have installed only the 64-bit SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA client
For SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA, if you have installed only the 64-bit SAP Business One, version for SAP
HANA client
For SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA (releases before FP 2202)
For SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA

To use the B1CRHPROXY32 driver, make sure you have done the following:

1. Installed the 32-bit SAP HANA database client for Windows.


2. Installed the SAP Crystal Reports, version for the SAP Business One application. For more information, see the SAP Business One Administrator's Guide, version for SAP
HANA.
3. Install the 32-bit DI API.
For SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA, it is located
under \Packages\DI API in the SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA product or upgrade package.
For SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA (releases before FP 2202) and SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 10.0, version for
SAP HANA, it is located under \Packages.x64\DI API Legacy Package in the SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA product or upgrade package.
4. Run the CR integration script SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe.
For SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA, it is located
under \Packages\SAP CRAddin Installation in the SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA product or upgrade package.
For SAP Business One 10.0, version for SAP HANA (releases before FP 2202) and SAP Business One Cloud that is working with SAP Business One 10.0, version for
SAP HANA, it is located under \Packages.x64\SAP CRAddin Installation in the SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA product or upgrade package.

To use the HDBODBC32 driver, make sure you have installed the SAP HANA database client software on the computers on which you want to design Crystal Reports layouts. For
more information, see SAP HANA Client Installation Guide at https://help.sap.com/hana_platform.

Scenario:

1. On the SAP Crystal Reports Start Page, choose Blank report. A tab for the new report with the Database Expert window appears.
2. In the Database Expert window, in the Available Data Sources pane on the left-hand side of the screen, choose Create New Connection → ODBC(RDO) → Make New
Connection. The ODBC(RDO) Data Source Selection window appears.
3. Select the Enter Connection String radio button, and in the Connection String field, enter strings to use either the B1CRHPROXY or HDBODBC driver. For more information,
see the guide How to Set Up SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA Data Sources for Crystal Reports on https://help.sap.com/.
To use B1CRHPROXY32 as the connection driver, enter DRIVER={B1CRHPROXY32};UID=<SAP HANA Database Server User Name>;PWD=<SAP HANA Database
Server User Password>;SERVERNODE=<SAP HANA Database Server Name or Address>:<SAP HANA Database Instance Port>;DATABASE=<Company Schema
Name on the SAP HANA Instance>
To use HDBODBC32 as the connection driver, enter DRIVER={HDBODBC32};UID=<SAP HANA Database Server User Name>;PWD=<SAP HANA Database Server
User Password >;SERVERNODE=<SAP HANA Database Server Name or Address>:<SAP HANA Database Instance Port>

NOTE: If you are working with SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2202 or higher, version for SAP HANA, please replace B1CRHPROXY32 or HDBODBC32 with B1CRHPROXY or
HDBODBC in connection strings. For more information, see SAP Note 2932941 in the References section.

RECOMMENDATION: we recommend you use the B1CRHPROXY32 or B1CRHPXORY driver. For more information, see the guide How to Set Up SAP Business One, version for
SAP HANA Data Sources for Crystal Reports on https://help.sap.com/.

Actual behavior:

When you are connecting to the ODBC data source, you can only use the B1CRHPROXY32 and HDBODBC32 drivers for releases before FP 2202, while the B1CRHPROXY and
HDBODBC drivers for releases FP 2202 or higher.
