1. BEFORE USE
DANGER
Do not open the front cover when the power is switched on or during
operations. The unit contains exposed high-voltage terminals and recharged
areas that could potentially cause electric shocks. Ensure that the power switch
has been turned OFF before attempting to open the cover and touch any of the
internal parts during maintenance. In particular, do not touch any of
when the power switch is ON or for at least ten minutes after the power as been
switched off as the circuits will still contain accumulated voltage.

■ Return to home position
This operation returns the unloader to the
home position.
This operation MUST be performed after Home
turning on the power or before starting position
■ Manual operation
The manual operation category includes two groups: the motions set for a mode or by teaching are
carried out one by one (manual operation or step operation), or axes are moved without regard to
settings (free operation).

Do not commence automatic operations until it has been confirmed that
personnel or other obstacles are not within the unloader's zone of movement.
Do not commence automatic operations until each operation has been
confirmed in the manual mode when condition setting has been performed or
when the unloader's setup conditions have been amended.
Switch off the electricity leak breaker and shut down the factory's primary power
supply to prevent accidents when the equipment has not been used for a long
period of time.

least problems. (With the vertical arm in the up position on the release side.)

16. AUTOMATIC OPERATIONS
Safety Precautions
z Do not operate the unit when power-related safety covers or parts thereof
have been removed, or when the high voltage terminals are exposed.
z Do not remove or alter the positions of the limit switched, dogs or interlock
mechanisms.
z Strictly observe the following restriction when operating the unloader.
Always stop the unloader using the correct procedure before performing
these operations.
{ Do not adjust the machinery or parts while the unloader is in operation.
{ Do not attempt to pick up dropped products or clean the unloader while it
is operating.
z Always stop the unloader and check that automatic operation has stopped
before removing packaged products.
z Check that there are no people or obstruction within the moving zone of the
unloader before starting operations.
z If the unloader stops for any reason during operation, or has been stopped
for any reason, always clarify the cause and take appropriate measures to
clear the cause. Never restart operation until the cause has been identified
and corrective measures have been taken. Restarting operation when the
cause has not been identified is extremely dangerous.
z Do not touch the switches or keys with wet or soiled hands.
This can result in mis-operation of the unloader.
z Do not operate the unit while service tools or measuring tools are lying on
the operation box.
z Make sure you do not touch the switches unintentionally. Also, never lean on
the machine.
z If a program has been changed, thoroughly check that the data is correct
before starting automatic operation and only start operation after checking all
the operations using manual operation mode.
z If you become aware of even a slight abnormality during operation,
immediately stop the unloader and consult the supervisor.
z If the unloader has not been used for a long period of time, clean and
lubricate (grease) all contact surfaces (LM guide), then operate the unit for
about 30 minutes. Also if a backup battery error alarm message is displayed
on the screen after the power is turned on, replace the backup battery on the
main P. C. board.
z For the absolute encoder specifications, batteries are also used for the servo
drivers. If the alarm message is displayed on the screen similarly, replace
the backup batteries mounted in the servo driver for each axis.
