Example – PtMP Base Station serving multiple CPEs
• Central Point-to-Multipoint Base Station (PtMP BTS)
• Distributed Wi-Fi zones using backhaul link to central PtMP BTS
• 2.4 GHz MIMO AP’s used for Wi-Fi zones
• 5.8 GHz GPS-synchronized PtMP BTS
• Line-of-Sight required between PtMP BTS and Backhaul link at Wi-Fi sites
• Up to 100 Wi-Fi zones possible using 1 PtMP BTS: This can service many CPEs with a dedicated
connection (indoor and/or outdoor), only limited by the total backhaul-capacity
